I am getting lots of comments on all my mods since the 1.6 update, so from now on the way I respond to them is changing. If you report bugs in the bug section or ask for help in the comments without providing your SMAPI log, your report/comment is likely to be ignored or deleted. Your logs contain important info that modders need to be able to help you, and it only takes extra time from both of our lives if I have to ask for it. I also highly recommend making sure you read the instructions in the description thoroughly before asking for help. Thanks!
Hello! Fair warning, I'm very new at modding Stardew Valley, and this was one of the first mods I've wanted cause they're just so cute. I've read the install instructions but I'm confused as to what the config.json is or how to access it, I think once I find it I can successfully change my horse and all of my other animals but I fr don't know how to find it. Any help is appreciated, I just want a purple horse and cuter animals lol :)
Yep, like the instructions say there is a folder called "references" within the mod folder that shows the config name for everything! I have one included in all of my mods.
Does this mod work with Alternative Textures? I can see the question was asked before but I can't find the answer.
I can see that all of the other Cuter Animals mods say in the description that they are compatible, but this one does not specifically say that. I'm not 100% comfortable with messing around with the config files and also like to change my mind a lot and switch colors mid-play.
Sorry, this one is not AT compatible; the other Cuter mods are AT compatible because AT can read the new breed/skin features, but this horse mod is just a normal texture replacement (as CA didn't add any horse breed feature). I don't currently have plans to make AT versions of my mods again, as the person who made/maintained them before is no longer modding.
If you don't want to make your own AT pack, you don't like manually editing config.jsons, and would like to change options mid-game, you can try out the mod Generic Mod Config Menu which adds a menu in-game for mod settings. You can choose options from drop-down lists and GMCM will refresh CP patches so that you don't have to restart your game to see changes.

So once you do that, quit SV, go to your "Mods' folder and check the "[CP] Elle's Cuter Horses" folder again and you should see it.
