Did this stop working after the latest update 1.6.5? I have it installed correctly along with the requirements; I had it on fine before the patch updates as well as the fashion sense animals and mythological creatures accessories (tails, ears, wings.)
Unable to get it to work correctly for me, so instead I kitbashed it with the other anthro farmer mod by pasting in (and some basic file editing) stuff from this mod to get my preferred species.
For anyone else trying: Download the 1.3 CP version of this, grab the farmer_base.png's, hairstyle.png and skintone.png of your choice and throw them into the other mod's files, overwriting as necessary, and edit it's content.json to load the skintones.png (look at this mod's content.json to see how, and edit for the new path/format) and not load it's own hairstyles2.png. Didn't bother with the hats/shirts replacers as I figured they'd be horribly out of date and not work properly anyways. Everything seems to be working OK tho I've not seen what hats/non-starting outfits look like yet.
Okay so with some work I got this mod to work correctly for me again. First: I have Smapi, Content Patcher, and Anthro Characters Continued installed before this. I am on the most recent version of Stardew Valley from Steam.
Under your Stardew Valley folder make a back-up copy of your vanilla 'Farmer' folder somewhere else with all of its contents. I used the 1.3 sleeves main file and the 1.2 optional 'Gryphon' file. You'll want to get the sleeves file and then the optional file of your preferred animal that they have listed there. Once both files are extracted, from the 1.2 anthro farmer file pack of your choice you'll want to go to content > Characters (There'll be two files for farmer base and farmer girl base you'll grab those too) > Farmer > In that folder, you'll drag or copy everything out into the Stardew valley folder of the same name under Content > Characters> Farmer > And then replace all of it.
Then, from the 1.3 anthro farmers file. You'll go to Content > Characters > Farmer> Then drag out the accessories and skinColors into the same place with the other files you replaced from the game folder and replace them.
Lastly, remember those vanilla files I told you to copy? For some reason shirt textures for me were broken. So take ONLY the shirts file from your vanilla game and use that to replace the shirts file that's currently there under your game's Content> Characters> Farmer. You should do a test run to see if your shirts are bugged before doing this fix, though.
This worked perfectly for me, all the animations are going just fine and my old saves are back to their original, birdy glory. Once again, I ONLY did this with the gryphon pack, I don't know if it'll work for the others, but those are the steps I took to fix it.
