I've been making a few additional changes to this mod in my spare time:
Re-added Marlon to all festivals he's supposed to visit.
Relocated Marlon at the counter (he's supposed to stand at 5,11, but he was standing at 4,11)
Relocated Gunther during Winter Star (he was overlapping with year 2 Marlon).
Tweaked the Adventurer's guild counter with a map replacement and a custom tilesheet, now it opens on the left side without looking cut off.
Adjusted Marlon's schedule to go to sleep at 0150 instead of 2200. On Fridays, he goes to the counter instead of to the Saloon, then goes to bed at 0150.
Increased the size of the counter interaction to include both below Marlon and below the register to match other shops.
When I have time, I'll try to:
Update Gunter and Marlon's sprites so they have hidden gift log emotes.
Tweak the museum changes to move the chair and books instead of removing them.
Make a room for Gunter, add a door, ladder or trapdoor that leads to it in the museum, and change his schedule to go sleep in it.
Give Gunter a sleeping sprite. Marlon can't get one since his bed is horizontal, and I don't think NPCs can switch between 32x16 and 16x32 sprite sizes.
Looks like making Marlon a full NPC "overwrites" him, so he isn't detected as the same NPC that appears in the festival maps.
Other mods that changed Marlon had to add him back manually too.
I haven't had a lot of time to finish the changes to this mod. Once I'm done I'll link them here in a public google drive folder.
Edit: I haven't had the time to do more, but someone asked for what I had done so far, so here it is. It's not much, but at least it worked the last time I tried them.
hello! Marlon's dialogue for when he's at the Ginger Island resort bugs out (or maybe lack of dialogue for when he's there?). i don't know if this was an oversight, or maybe something broke. ^^;
Thank you for updating this for 1.6! Does Marlon ever leave the mines/adventurer's guild area? He counts towards the "introduce yourself to everyone" quest when this mod is installed, so it doesn't seem to be possible to complete it before getting access to the mines.
Does anybody know where their heart events are? I wanna write it down so i know where to go once i befriend them cus i hate wandering around waiting for them to trigger XD
When you say "not compatible with SVE", how bad is it? Like a couple tiles and wonky sprites are wrong? Or like completely different schedules or events wrong?
This goes straight to my "should have been vanilla" collection.
Their schedules are a bit lacking as they don't seem to visit a store, and it'd be nice if Gunther got a room, but I take those limitations over making them dateable and giving them a backstory for no good reason. They are fine as they are, I just want to give them gifts.
At most it'd be nice if they got the occasional quest.
