Did you know that you can condition any and all of the mod's changes on whether a specific improvement/event happened? Without requiring the players to manually monitor it :3
I'm confused. Are you referring to when the dialogue changes start? I left it up to the player as I'm changing vanilla lines and everyone plays different.
you could use conversation topics or game state queries to have your dialogue changes triggered by their relevant event or milestone, is what I think that Liliet meant.
I used game state queries to have dialogue triggered. For example, when the bridge is fixed it triggers new dialogue for Abigail, Clint, Demetrius, Maru and the Wizard. Fixing the bridge also changes vanilla lines for Alex and Lewis that acknowledge you are responsible for the bridge being fixed.
This mod changes some vanilla lines, while Cannon Dialogue Expansion does not. This mod adds new lines related to game achievements so as long as the other mod doesn't then all is fine. This mod does not change any marriage lines. Overall, I say yes it compatible. There are options to turn off dialogue changes by NPC if needed.
I return to this game every few years and am currently playing a newer save file, & Gus mentions the saloon struggling, too—I can't remember whether or not this changes over time or after the CC is completed but if not it would be a welcome addition!! Thanks for all your hard work!
I'm testing dialogue changes for Gus and the rest of the NPC's. He has a couple of lines regarding the Saloon not doing well. One of his "new" lines is "Business has been getting better since you've been here. You're popular.". I'm also adding in a config option so you can determine when you want to turn the new lines on. This way players can get through year 1 or so before using the updated lines. I'm also adding in a config to turn off dialogue changes for a NPC if you want.
Can't wait to see if you do more with this mod :] It definitely breaks the immersion when these two talk as if you just moved in when it's been at least a year, so I'm glad to see a mod that fixes it.

Do NPCs comment on the player fixing up the Island resort in vanilla? If not, may I put it up as a suggestion?
