I didn't know until now that I need a tomato mod like this! I love the art and all the new recipes. What are those 3 yellow/golden items in your inventory in the first picture, they aren't part of this mod, are they?
Oh, thank you for the lovely words! I'm glad you like my work! If you mean after the fishing rod, they're called Physalis, they're not part of my mod. It's by Elaho, you can find it here Joseph's Seed Shop
Thank you!! I've always wanted my crop plots to have some variation, I would genuinely use these seeds like tomatoes, corn, green beans etc if the had more visual interest to them, can't wait to start a tomato patch!
Thanks! I love having my own fields with many varieties of vegetables and spices. For corn and other legumes, squash and grains, as well as beautiful sunflowers I recommend Elaho's mod Joseph's Seed Shop Cornucopia also has a ton of new items!
Hi, it's a very cool mod. Do you have a generic context tag for the tomatoes? One of my mod adds what is basically another version of caprese salade, so being able to use various tomatoes for it can be cool.
I love the sense of detail you put in the mod. I didn't grow as much varieties as you, but some of the names are definitively familiar.
Thanks for the compliments! I especially appreciate them coming from you. I imagined that some of the dishes might have already been created by other modders. In my tomatoes I only used "ContextTags": ["color_xxx",] for the colors I didn't think to put anything specific. Being a newbie in programming, what do you suggest I put? In the next update I will upload the object file with the tags. Your idea of making a multicolored Caprese is beautiful! And I am happy to discover that there are so many people who love tomatoes.
you can have a generic "tomato_item"! Then you can see if you want to go more fancy/detailled. Some mods are already using stuff like "cheese_item" if you want to add that to your cheeses. Usually i try to have the color tag, the season tag for crops products (when appliable), and a tag if the item is used by other recipes as ingredient (like basil_item) or has a high chance to be. Then if i add tag it's mostly for my personal convenience (like filtrating in a shop or something).
Got it! Thanks. Yeah, I didn't think about the tomatoes. I put the tags in the dishes. I'll definitely do it that way, it'll be easier to manage. I'll use both your tag and the one for the seasons. Thanks again for the tip!
Poor Robin! I feel responsible for her possible nervous breakdown.... Fruit or no fruit. That's the question! Demetrius is right, The tomato is a fruit is classified as a fruit because it contains seeds inside and grows from the flower of the tomato plant. Just like bell peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, squash, chilies, zucchini, etc. Anything that grows from the flowers basically.
