Hello! I'm working on translating this MOD, but it seems that the i18n key is missing in the quickQuestion section on line 113 of RipleyEvents.json. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could fix this. Thank you!
I found that the DisplayName in Dispositions.json is also missing an i18n key. Sorry for the repeated requests, but could you please address this as well? Thank you!
Just wanted to ask about the issues with PolyamorySweet. Are the issues only for the stuff added by that mod or if it would also cause issues if you gave her the mermaid pendent with PolyamorySweet installed. Just wanted to double check because the wording made me a little confused.
It look like a really interesting character so I will have to check it out on my next farm.
So, from my understanding, PolyamorySweet adds an additional item you can use to propose to an NPC. Ripley being unmarriagable happens through her having a line of dialogue rejecting SPECIFICALLY the Mermaid Pendant. Her code does not know to reject any item other than that, so it will try to accept by default and the player character will attempt an engagement/marriage/spouseroom with no coding for any of those. Hence, breaking her brain, because she no longer has dialogue to pull from or a room in the farmhouse to move into.
Giving her a Mermaid's Pendant if you also happen to have PolyamorySweet would make her refuse it, which is what's supposed to happen. You can still have PolySweet installed for separate reasons and also interact with Ripley in general, that's no problem at all. She just is not supposed to marry the player through any means.
That makes sense thank you. Good to know that polyamourysweets will not cause any issue just on its own. Anyways I look forward to exploring this mod!!
so i tried giving ripley the regular mermaid pendant, fully expecting her to reject it and.. well she accepted it lol so it may be that PolyamorySweet affects it regardless of what pendant you use. I waited to see if she actually married me and things got weird. She didn't appear in the wedding and at 1st the mayor mentioned Sterling and then mentioned ripley. So not sure if Ripley is simply fully incompatible with PS or if ARV is also affecting it. Just letting you know so others don't attempt to give her the pendant if they have PS
Ripley seems to be missing for me suring the flower dance festival, can anyone double confirm if shes still there so i can make sure its just a me problem
Being from Appalachia, I'm honestly so surprised to see an NPC with a similar way to how we speak/is from that area! I'm plum happy to see it. Can't wait to give this mod a shot!
Hiya! During the egg hunt (year 2), Ripley seems to be occupying the same space as Marlon. Using SVE + RSV + ES + SBV, and I installed SBV & Ripley on Spring 1 Year 2 if that matters.
hai!!! im loving the mod so far but i noticed a little issue with Ripley and the festivals? first she appeared everyday on the night market while having the same dialog line as every other days and now i got her as my secret friend on the feast of the winter star where she was just nowhere to be seen :/// not only i didnt get to give her my gift but i didnt get a gift myself as i had to leave the festival ToT i dunno if it was planned but its sad nonetheless ;(
Hi!! Ripley currently doesn't have dialogue specifically for the Night Market, so her using normal dialogue is intended for now.
As for the Feast of the Winter Star, do you have Stardew Valley Expanded installed? If so, her original festival placement there won't work. I've just fixed that bug, so she should show up even if you have SVE now. :)
OO!! yes i do have SVE so that explains ToT well thank you so much for the reply and for fixing it^^ hopefully I'll get her again as my secret friend further in my playthrough X) thanks again!
