Love Frontier Farm but found I was getting to a point where no matter what I did, I just didn't have enough room for everything I wanted to do on it. I made a big version for personal use, and after the learning experience of teaching myself how to use Tiled... holy s#*!, man, huge respect to you and every other content pack author.
This mod is absolutely amazing and I love everything about it!! I think Martin is honestly such a sweet character and I'm curious if in the future he could be a marriage candidate ;3
Hi, I am completely new to mods, especially on android. My file keeps crashing on day 1, is there something I'm missing or downloaded wrong? Thank you so much for your time, and I am very much looking forward to getting to experience SVE!

The instructions for android on the files page really needs to be updated. 1.14.24 is if you're still playing 1.5.6.39 SDV.
The most recent version of SVE works on the most recent version of SDV. It's just a little buggy. (Frontier Farm isn't compatible with android, but Grandpa's and IF2R are. Some people have reported issues going through some doorways, but said that using the joystick works there. And monsters added with FTM don't have their FTM loot drops, so you'll need an item spawner for any quest/special order that needs monster drops from Highlands, Forbidden Maze, or Crimson Badlands.)
would it be possible to modify the World Area for the Grandpa Shed floors, so the Grandpa Shed is compatible with the "Chests Anywhere" mod ? same thing for the Frontier's mining cave area.
i play with SVE + Chests Anywhere, and the Grandpa Shed DOES NOT count as the same World Area as the Farm. The Grandpa Shed Greenhouse also does not count as the same World Area as the Grandpa Shed ground floor, which only make things worse. I usually solve this problem by enabling "Range: All Areas" on ChestAnywhere's config, but then i need to disable all other World Areas that i don't want to have access to (like the Town, the CC, the Mountains, etc).
I think that's just how Chests Anywhere works with mod maps. It seems to consider each mod map to be in its own world area. I checked SVE, ES, and RSV. No pair of mod maps that I checked were considered to be in the same world area by Chests Anywhere, even if they're connected or in the same location context.
But, from poking around Chests Anywhere's files, it looks like data.json (in its assets folder) lets you customize the list of what maps are considered to be in the same world area. If you add "Custom_GrandpasShed" and "Custom_GrandpasShedGreenhouse" to Farm's list, it should work. (Don't forget to add commas where necessary.)

oh, thanks a lot for doing the research for me :D i still need to get my act together when it comes to modding for Stardew Valley :D
for anyone who uses SVE + Chests Anywhere, update the `Chests Anywhere/assets/data.json` file entry for `farm` "Farm": [ "Cellar", "Farm", "FarmCave", "FarmHouse", "Greenhouse", "Custom_FerngillRepublicFrontier", "Custom_FerngillRepublicFrontier_Cave", "Custom_FerngillRepublicFrontier_HotSpring", "Custom_FrontierFarm_HiddenCave", "Custom_FrontierFarm_UndergroundTunnel", "Custom_GrandpasShed", "Custom_GrandpasShedGreenhouse" ],
OMG! I'm almost crying. Can you help me? T-T I have been living on the farm for the sixth year. Yesterday, I discovered the sacrifice in the witch's forbidden labyrinth. It took me almost a whole day to complete the sacrifice. T-T After finally finishing it, my village was filled with monsters at night! There were so many of them that it has already caused me trouble. Today, I tried to stop all this, but I found that it seems to be an irreversible action? I work very late and get home late every day. If the monsters are always there, I can't enjoy playing this game. And I only have one save file, and I can't abandon it! I really love your work. I have developed a deep affection for many of the characters in it. I never expected that the Sacrifice in the Forbidden Labyrinth would have such a serious impact on me! What should I do?Can you help me? I'm so sad.
No, it doesn't work. It only provided one option, and it's not reversible. I've already tried the method you mentioned, but it didn't have any effect at all. If I had already solved the problem, I wouldn't be here asking about it.
I can't seem to replicate that. The invasion shrine toggled off for me, and the monsters stopped spawning the day after.
No promises this will work (since the flag might just get added back afterwards), but you can try grabbing Event Repeater and putting "mailforget SVE_InvasionShrineActivated" into the smapi console, and see if they still spawn the day after doing that.
If that doesn't work, either, then open up [FTM] SVE's content.json file, search for "SVE_InvasionShrineActivated" and replace every instance of that with random key smashes. (Don't delete it. Just replace it. But with letters/numbers, not symbols.)
The minecarts on Frontier Farm are still blocked after completing the community center bundle that unlocked minecarts. Is this a bug or do I need to do something else?
Because you're playing on android. Mods that add farm types don't work on android, but mods that edit existing farm types do. So Frontier doesn't work, but Grandpa's and IF2R do.
Ooook, 'been playing this for a while, always appreciated the added challenge and how thoughtful and in-universe the added content was. This time turned on all the "Challenging [area]" options hoping for even better challenge. Highlands were great, got tossed around a bit, but quickly adapted. The new Maze map was awesome, also cool with the added challenge. But then I got to Galdora...
...ARE YOU GUYS NUTZ?!!!
"A lot of monsters" is one thing, "a lot of monsters that also hit hard" is another. "A SWARM OF CORRUPTED SERPENTS SO BAD THREE MORE GET SPAWNED WHILE YOU'RE KILLING ONE" is NOT what "difficulty" is friggin about! "Difficulty" isn't about killing the player, its about giving a challenging, but doable fight. Killing players is easy simply because we are playing on your turf, just make a one-hit-kill undamageable mob and you're good to go. But this is NOT fun. I've been to Galdora a total of 7 times with the setting on. Three times barely managed to totem home. Four times died - trice being swarmed right at the entrance. I play with Skillful Clothes, my armor rating is trice normal, and I STILL get swarmed just because so many friggin serpents spawn there is no way to even walk around.
Get this option in line with others, please, as in - increase in damage and stats, but NOT IN SPAWNS. There are way too many mobs wandering Red Desert already.
I recommend using dual vampire rings in the badlands with the challenging config. There are also many other builds that work too, but that one is my favorite.
I do two crabshell rings, armor elixir, whatever drink I have on hand that boosts movement speed, and some non-buff healing item that I have a lot of (cheese, sashimi, common mushroom, purple mushroom, life elixir, whatever.) Before getting the monster splitter, I take the strongest hammer, dagger, and sword I have (all three with crusader). Hammer's for taking out groups since its special can be multi-hit (just click repeatedly when using the special). Dagger's for spot killing dangerous enemies (especially when hammer's special is on cd). And sword's for blocking when I'm frozen to buy time until I can move again. (During boss rushes, sword also helps to bounce apophis off me/get them to clump up when I'm waiting for monster splitter's special to come off cd.)
I usually take parrot for my trinket since the high monster density is great for that, but faerie, ice rod, or quiver can all help with survivability.
Ikr? I get so annoyed by the absurd number of enemies I ended up just using a tractor mod and equipped myself with the best weapon I could find (combined with some game-breaking buffs) and literally start mowing down the entire place like some kind of Heian era sorcerer..

Still think the spawns with this challenge on are way over the roof. But thanks for the info
