Just updated it for SDV 1.6 with support for vanilla winter outfits. Also made the event repeatable, Abigail asks every fall. Please note that Abigail has purple hair again after upgrading, the setting is not imported from SDV 1.5 . Enjoy!
Hello, many mods designed for hair color changes seem to have a bug where the sprite will glitch upon entering bed and going to sleep, likely since the 1.5 update which may have added new sprites. Has anyone seen whether or not Abigail's sprite glitches with this mod? I want to download it but I am very far from being able to try this mod out since I would need to make a new file!
All sprites are there, including sleeping sprites for SDV 1.4 and beach sprites for SDV 1.5. I don't like missing sprites, too :-) And you don't need a new savegame, the mod just adds some new answer IDs to your existing savegame but doesn't mess up anything. Just install it and have fun.
It's not really compatible but it stays on top of it so Abigail won't have seasonal outfits anymore. Incorporating it into to SVO would be a lot of work and multiply the number of Abigail sprites and portraits by 4. I could ask the authors of SVO but it doesn't seem reasonable to me :-)
I did. When asking about interaction its best to ask both authors. They roughly said, 'sounds neat but we have our large preexisting project to manage' which yeah, fair.
As for work, hm... I'm no coder, but honestly its just replacing the colors with a paint tool on *every single portrait and sprite* right? That's less coding and more 'long-term hobbie of insomniacs and people with hyperfocus problems'. Though it will need some coding in the end. Meh, if I'm ever crazy enough to do it I'll just ask someone how to do the last part.
P.S. If I am ever that crazy what's the specs for the colors you used?
Wow, thanks. Unfortunately I can't give you another kudos. The work to do is almost only artwork, there's very few coding needed here. I'm much better at coding than doing arts, it took me nearly two days to do the beach sprites :-) As for the colors, I stick to the original artwork of prettykiller as much as possible, so the color picking tool of gimp is my best friend here. The work could probably be reduced by using layers and masks. If you ever feel the urge to do it please tell me before so I can give you the files I already have.
Thank you very much! I was already afraid nobody actually uses this mod :-) Unfortunately there is no easy way to reset dialogue answers so it's hard to make it happen more than once. If I find a way I'll implement that feature.
I was hoping you'd say that. There's actually been a small uptick in framework mods (mods meant to help people make more mods) in the last few months. I'm really excited. :D
