    To: Mod-Maker

Please release this with an Open Source License (and please not any GPL / LGPL versions) so other SMAPI modders can pick this up if you're no longer interested in maintaining this.

I know your post is from 2021, but it doesn't really matter what license they put on it because it's just code. You could write the exact same thing, without every having seen this person's code and not be in violation of any license. The license is for people to not be allowed to edit this code repo directly. There are tons of mods that do very similar things to other mods and they use very similar (and sometimes the same) code.

This *almost* does what I want. Unfortunately, in the one area I have most of my difficulty with Stardew's default configs, SDV is obstinate.

Specifically, volume levels. If I start a new game after having loaded a different save game, it's fine. But if I start a new game as the first thing in a session, there's an annoyance. I'm not sure if you can do any more than you already have, but just in case, I'm relating the issue.

SaveGameOptions accurate records the volume levels I've configured, so when I start a new game, the meters are already slid to the correct (much quieter) levels. However, SDV doesn't honor these settings until I click on them.

It's better with this mod, because I can just click where they were set the last time and it's good; I don't need to put my headphones on and potentially subject myself to the blaringly loud volume that's just a couple pixels away. (This is a combination of my having sensitive hearing, and my high quality headphones are easily driven, so my sound settings for a couple of the volume sliders are literally one pixel from "off".)

It would be nicer if I could have my prior sound levels set on starting the game process, but I understand that's probably not ever going to be an option. I just need to leave the headphones on the desk until after I've loaded an existing game.

In all other regards, I'm with digidust on this one, weeping with joy.

Oh bless you. I play SDV with the music off to listen to my own music/podcasts while I chill out, so Persistent Game Options was ideal for when I got the new file itch. I was upset when it broke in 1.4 and then never updated, so seeing it get an alternative is truly amazing, thank-you SO much.
