hi!Can I turn off a crop that has already grown a giant crop in the settings to prevent other crops from growing a giant crop again? Will the huge crops that have grown disappear?
Well, I tried, they disappeared and turned into error symbols
Hey! I've been loving the mod so far, but I had a question. I'm sorry if this has been asked before (comment search is disabled), but do you plan on adding rhubarb? It's the highest-selling non-strawberry crop in spring, and I've been putting it in kegs to make rhubarb wine. It's also non-regrowable, so it would make a natural addition to the mod.
Mod is working great and I'm addicted to fleshing out my farm with Giants. One question I hadn't found an answer to on skimming through the comments is for re-growable crops, do they "merge" into Giants if I harvest the crop? Or do they have to sit with an active pickable crop grown/waiting to be picked like regular "non-regrowable" crops. Ie. Can I pick hot peppers/tomato's and have the chance for the left behind crops to merge into a giant.
I believe that the picked left-behind crops still have a chance to become giant, but one of the plants in the 3x3 square has to be left unpicked, it's either the middle one or the top left one, I'm not sure as I think it changed in 1.6.
I remember reading somewhere that it's the middle crop that determines giant crop or not. So one trick is to just water the middle crop, you don't have to water all 9.
Correction - It's the top left crop according to another poster on this mod.
Can this mod be added to a current save? Can't believe I missed it when starting my new grand playthrough and it's the last piece I need. I'm comfortable backing up my saves etc but wanted to know if you think it's safe to add to a current game. (Roughly halfway through year 2)
Absolutely, it can. In fact, most stardew mods can be added (or removed!) safely to existing saves, including NPCs and map expansion mods. In general the only stuff thats unsafe to change mid-save are community center bundle mods; otherwise, if a mod is unsafe to add midsave, it should say so in the description.
Is there now a broccoli option? I see it in the config/GMCM but not on the main description page. Just wondering if I'm missing something.
Thanks again for all the hard work! If you end up deciding to add a carrot or summer squash or other vanilla crops like bok choy, I will adore this mod even more. My giant coffee cup makes me so happy.
Hi! Yes there is a broccoli. I didn't plan to add new crops to this mod right away, but it happened that broccoli was released in 1.6 and I had drawn a giant broccoli for a different crop mod. So it was a bit of luck.
At some point I want to update the art and add some of the missing crops, but it's a bit far off since I have a lot of other mods to work on currently :) Thank you for enjoying it though!
maybe incompatible with mods Custom Bush, though these is no report errors, some vanilla crops:Blueberries,Coffee turns into “bush” class and can not convert to giant crops. sad......
