Does this mod still work for 1.6? If not, is there any chance of an update?

Now that Trent's New Animals uses PFM, should that mod and this mod be compatible? Thanks!

As a fiber artist, the "loom" looking like a spinning wheel always bothered me a little; not in any kind of big way, but one of those little things like characters calling crochet "knitting" on a TV show or in a movie-- you know, a tiny irk that didn't really prevent me from enjoying the game. This mod, silly as it may sound, is a delight for me. I just downloaded and installed it. I can't wait to try it out. Thank you so much!

No issues thus far, but I did tweak it a little bit further for use with Artisan Valley: I swapped the "thread" item made from cotton bolls to be produced on the spinning wheel, too. Partly to test my understanding of the json, partly because once I'd had a taste of that tiny bit of extra accuracy, I couldn't help myself. Thank you twice over for the opportunity to learn, because I don't think any other things I've wanted to tinker with were small enough for me to feel like they were approachable projects. This was a big confidence boost.

PFM's latest update allows for PFM mods to directly override another mod's rules; I used this to make a mod that makes Thread quality affect Cloth quality with this mod.

Are you okay with that mod being uploaded?

Hello! Thank you for mod! I added Chinese translation for mod(CP-content.json and JA).
I will be happy if you want to add Chinese translation to the next update.

Alright, I've tried it, and I won't be using it as is. It's a really cool idea, but here's why:

One wool is worth 340gp. The spinning wheel turns it into thread, worth less than that. Further you need TWO thread to make one cloth, which is worth only 470gp.

In other words, you can turn TWO pieces of wool (worth a total of 680) into ONE piece of cloth (worth 470). You've made the cloth-making process a net-loss.

I really like this idea, but I would suggest those numbers need some tweaking.

I made the yarn more valuable (400, so it's worth more than the wool used to make it), and then made cloth require only one yarn (and so only one wool, like before). Now I like it.

Thanks for your input. I'll get that balanced in the next update.

Here's how I ended up fixing it, after some experimentation: simply change the default yarn created from one wool from 1 to 2.

Then, one wool (worth 340) becomes two yarn (worth 400 total) becomes one cloth (worth 470). Thus, you have an incremental and reasonable increase at each step in the process.

I also changed how cotton works with your mod, though that's not something you can change on your end. Five cotton (worth 325) becomes five thread (worth 400) becomes one cloth (worth 470). So similar numbers for both processes.

      Thanks for the mod.

Hi! Will this work with animal products added from trent's bfav animals? :) Like black wool, silk cocoon, etc? :)

I have not tested it. Trent uses CFR to load a new texture for the loom, and I'm not sure if the combination of mods will throw an error or just pick one image or the other to use. Assuming there are no game-breaking errors, you should still be able to use the loom as indicated in BOTH mods, regardless of what it looks like.

      Alright, thanks :)
I just tested it out now. I don't see errors and everything works fine, save for his products not working with the new loom. Nothing happens when I try to put them in the new machine

That must be because we're using different frameworks to modify the looms. Thank you for testing!
