Doesn't come to people as automatically if the game has a polytheistic setting. Given how vast their mod section is probably exists somewhere as an addition mod rather than a replacer? Likely under a weird name. They love to put stuff under cool names no one is ever going to think to search for, its so frustration!
Well, Skyrim is less "polytheistic" as "pluralistic" really, as monotheist religions have existed in The Elder Scrolls and even wielded considerable temporal power.
ETA: Or, as it would be, considerable *temporal* power ;D
It wouldn't work for Skyrim...Elder Scrolls has a ton of its own lore and history, from the creation of the world to present day, there's not really any place Christianity or other real world religions would fit. Akatosh and the other gods are also more of a fact of life than they are a belief system, and it wasn't satan who invaded the imperial city either, it was dagon.
When it comes to something like Fallout though, it WOULD work, because the fallout universe is just an alternative history of our own real world, so real world religions still exist. And with Stardew, the Yoba symbol is basically just a shrugging cross, so it's not really hard to replace it with Christianity.
In elder scrolls, though, good luck changing all the complex creation lore and every story that references it to Christianity...
I was thinking More of A brand New Quest Mod rather then a Replacer. Something Like Legacy of the Dragonborn in scale. (also a lot of People Forget about the All-Maker so Yes a Form of Christianity could fit in the Lore albeit Slightly Different from real world Christianity)
I'm not a Christian and I think the in-world religion works better in Stardew than a real-world religion does, but like, it's not like your mod is pushing any harmful ideas or hate speech, so I don't get why people have such an issue with it. I mean, I mod my game to be full of furries because I like the idea of an anthro stardew world. Who cares, just just don't download it, guys.
Why, because I'm not a Christian or because I'm not bitching about a harmless Stardew mod? Either way, neither of those things are bad, so get over it.
I really appreciate this mod. I'm surprised someone would decide to make a mod like this for a game like this. It wasn't debilitating or anything like that, but I did always feel weird as a religious person playing a game where all the characters talk about or even worship a named god that I don't believe in. Especially when the player character actually refers to them during heart events. Even if it doesn't change every single minute instance Yoba is mentioned or the symbol is shown, this mod will definitely make me feel less out of place in Pelican town and I look forward to updates with more thorough changes. I'm surprised a few people have reacted so negatively to this. I mean, when it comes to games that have a vibrant modding community, there's a mod for just about anything. There are Stardew Valley mods that make Jas/Vincent or Caroline marriage candidates. Is changing one religious symbol to another religious symbol, really what surprises or aggravates you?
I'm excited that you posted this! In a few minutes I will be putting up a mod that completely converts all Yoba symbology and dialogue to Christian. I also included an (optional) complete character change for the Wizard, instead turning him into a friendly Christian Hermit - without significantly changing stories or quests except where it made sense.
Hope you download it and let me know what you think!

Good job on your first mod. :)
