that part's automatically managed by SMAPI, so i can't speak to it much, but its location is os- and installer-dependent (for me on linux, it's ".steam/steam/steamapps/common/Stardew Valley/Mods/Heelies/config.json"). wherever it is, i'm pretty sure it's always called config.json, so maybe you can text search it? iif you manage to find it, there's an example of how to configure it in the description here. lmk
I downloaded ds4Windows, you can make a specific profile and re-map controller buttons. I'm using a ps4 controller and i binded the right side of the touchpad to space bar, so now i just hold that down to heeley.
This is just a regular boost, so the traveling skill mod should work fine with it (similar to how I assume it works with stuff like coffee/spicy eel, I haven't used the mod)
There's no preconfigured button for controller, mostly cause I don't play with controller, so I don't know what it would make sense to set it to (if you have an opinion on what button that _should_ be, that can help me pick a default). You can edit the config.json (some details in the mod description) to add/replace buttons, so you could set whatever controller button you like as the trigger. The stardew wiki has a list of the button names, look for the Controller section
would it be possible to add a stamina mechanic? like loosing 5 energy everytime you press space, possibly configurable? it could be an alternate version of the mod cos ik not everyone would like that kind of change, I just like keeping a certain level of balance in my game when playing with friends
sorry if im asking too much, love the mod by the way its so satisfying to use, the buff icons a nice touch too.
VERY interesting. i think i'll need to toy around with the idea a bit, to get a feel for what's a "fair" energy drain (i'll definitely still default to none because that's backwards-compatible for people)
just released a new version with a stamina drain. i kept it defaulted to zero so that it's not a breaking change for anyone who just wants to keep up to date (honestly i'll probably keep the default at zero forever), but pls share your opinion on what value feels right for making it "balanced". i'd recommend setting `staminaCost` to 1 as a starting point. lmk if you need guidance on changing the mod config to test it
Ayooo you're a legend!! I'm so excited to try this out
edit: its beautiful ty sm, after playing around with the config a bit, yeah I'd say a drain of 1-2 is pretty good, maybe 3 if you want to make it more of a conscious decision to press space lol, which I now see is pretty close to what you've got written in the changelog so yeee
but yeah leaving it at zero for default makes sense, thanks so much for humoring my idea tho <<<333

Pourriez-vous m'expliquer comment utiliser votre Mod génial avec la manette, s'il vous plaît? Je n'y arrive pas...
