Mod is now just starmap improvements, as it includes non speed tweaks too.

Readme file included in download explaining individual features so people can adjust as needed or remove items.

unfortunately this mod collides with StarUI... when this mod is installed, StarUI doesn t work... once removed, there is StarUI again

I'm using StarUI, StarUI HUD, StarUI Outpost, and StarUI Workbench. They work fine together.

The install instructions say to add these lines to your StarfieldCustom.ini.

It's a great idea, but it would be beyond my talent.

Not sure if it is possible, but it would require a lot of new code in the interface.

Is there a way to show all system names on starmap?

Not sure, I'll look into that today if I can.

Update: Looked it over, didn't see any method of adjusting it thru settings. It may be possible in the interface, but I'm not very good with editing those.

    Thanks for the mod ^^

Can you add the possibility to remove the Orbital Lines in the System view?

It is, i just found it harder to locate some smaller planets.

Add this to the bottom of the other [Starmap] entries:
      bStarMapSystemOrbitLinesDisable=1

Hope that is what you are looking for.

Night and day difference, well done.

Would it be possible to make the [esc] just exit the menu as opposed to duplicating tab (zoom out, press to hold to exit).

I think that would be an .swf edit, I'm not that talented with those yet.

Not saying it won't happen, just not something I currently know how to go after.

Many thanks for the mod. Always looking to cut out the unnecessary time between animations. Is there any way to change the solar system view? Namely increasing the planetary zoom amount and/or speeding up the animations?

I commented out the line that removes the gravity lines, which keeps the gravity lines in the solar system view, but they are now missing in the planetary view. I used to be able to see the gravity lines under the planet and sun while zoomed into a planet.
Is there another setting that controls this?

Put the line back, but as:
      fStarMapGravityWavesLineThickness0.003
Start starfield, leave system entirely, come back to system then save. Restart the game. If its fixed, then you can get rid of the line.
After all that it should be good because id be out of ideas ;)

Its like zooming in and out of system and galaxy map normally, just instantly instead.
