About this mod

This allows you to play Starfield even on GTX 1050 Laptop and i5 7300hq (my setup). For Ancient Potatoes.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
My recommendations for Potatoes.

Gtx 1050 laptop 2GBs -
~40+ fps in New Atlantis, up to 80 indoors at hd with FSR3+Framegen, RenderScale at 50%.

  • Install all required mods (carefully read the notes for the requirements).
  • Recompile the Shader Cache if you had already launched the game with vanilla textures before.
  • Replace your StarfieldPrefs.ini (Documents\My Games\Starfield) with my file.
  • Replace Low.ini with my file (Starfield root folder). If it doesn't do well enough - download the optional file - it has an even lower Low.ini (thanks to math3746!).
  • I. Add lines to StarfieldCustom.ini (Documents\My Games\Starfield) that you downloaded from "Starfield Guaranteed FPS Boost".
    [General] (add the lines below to the end of the General section)
    uGridsToDemand=1
    uGridsToLoad=3
    uGridsToLoadMax=3
    uGridsToLoadMin=1

       II. + The Lines under [AI] from the No More Crowds mod - look in the comments section of that mod.

  • Launch the game through SFSE. In Settings -> Display do this:
    Circle through all presets and choose Low.ini in the end. Disable Depth of Field and Motion Blur. Enable FSR3 and FrameGen. Set Nvidia Reflex Low Latency to "ON+boost" if your hardware supports it. Set Film Grain Intensity to zero (personal preference). Adjust Resolution, Render Scale and Sharpening to the capabilities of your PC, to get the best fps set res at 1280x720 and renderscale at 50%.
  • Always launch the game through SKSE.

Note! A New Game is required for the changes to take effect, won't work on existing saves.

Note #2! Certain "missing textures" may appear - they usually load after some time. The game may occasionally freeze for a few seconds - just wait, Starfield is very CPU-intensive.

Use this guide as a base to configure upon because by default, well... you can see the screenshots. Or simply play at high fps with awful graphics. No further support promised.
