Loving the Deadly Hazardz stuff. Since you have taken it over I will post here. Everything tested below is on a new game with DH very low in the plugins and only SF included survival stuff. Not sure if this is a bug or a misunderstanding on my part.
I have been mainly testing each planetoid with the spacesuit on. I am taking notes on what settings to adjust but I set the default preset and left it there until I know better. I started doing passenger and cargo to places that should require no SS to walk around and do things.
- I am using Advanced as recommended in the description. Also have most other settings normal or what makes sense for a good survival without gltiches. - I am using the DH Oxygen (with the patch for DH).
- Jemison. No issues. Works fine. - Gagarin Landing. quick death (just enough time to load into the bay). Based upon the planet stats and where Gagarin Landing is I should have been fine. The NPCs think so too. =) Planet type: Rock Gravity: 0.89 g Temperature: Temperate Atmosphere: High O₂ Magnetosphere: Powerful Water: Biological
Other like planets that 'should' be fine are also an issue/interesting. =) Am I not understanding something?
Hmm, I just took a look at that. The only thing that's bothering me on Gagarin Landing is the temperature, 46 degrees. But it takes a long time for health to drop. Try the following. In the DH settings under advanced you can reset the weather effects: Update. It's the first icon from the left. This has already helped some people when DH reacted differently than expected. Maybe an effect got stuck for you. Most of it is set up through MagicEffects. MagicEffects are sensitive. Especially when you install and uninstall and the effects are still active. This often leads to problems.
I was checking out a few setting options and some had <Token=SomeValue> as part of the description then a percent range like 130% to 0% so I clicked a bunch of these and it fixed a few things. I am using Royal Weathers so usually the weather is nicely random (not vanilla) but I can tell what weather is happening and wait it out in the ship (ie like a Sand Storm) or get into my SS.
So it appears that clicking the Default Preset it does not include everything and some of the default values are not populated. Once I did this most of the issues went away. Still some strange ones, especially in regards to corrosive, but all in all I got things working.
So maybe in a future patch maybe revisit the presets to make sure all the settings are populated.
Greetings, EagleFour, Deadly Hazards still seems to work for me except for one important, game breaking exception. It seems to now cause some kind of conflict that prevents me from using the E key to talk to characters, access my ship or any door or hatch. Basically, I can’t interact with anything or anyone. Starting a new game didn’t fix the problem. Disabling the mod restores all the aforementioned issues to working order. Anyone else experiencing this issue and know of a way around it? Though no longer supported by Space Pigeon, this is one of my favorite mods and would really hate to stop using it, but this conflict is leaving me little choice. Any feedback is much appreciated.
Hello, very strange. Did the problem occur with 1.14.70? I can imagine that it has to do with the interface file, so with playerhudcomponents.gfx. Probably a mod conflict.
That did it! Thanks very much for your help. I was at my wits end on how to solve this. And thank you also for all your hard work on continuing to support this great mod, made even better and given a new lease on life by your efforts.
Hi EagleFour, first off thank you for continuing to add on-to this mod! Are you planning to continue Deadly Hazards? I am just returning to the game and discovered Deadly Hazards, and it's for sure one of my favorite mods. I think you're doing the community a great service by adding on to the mod, so thank you so so much!
I was hoping I could run a question by you to ensure I have the mod installed correctly. To clarify, everything seems installed perfectly, and I'm accessing the Deadly Hazards Settings without issue. What is confusing me is that I'm on a planet with Extreme Ambient Heat, and the temperature is outside of my suit's Thermal Limits. Temp is 284 C, and my suit's max thermal limit is 200 C. I would expect my suit's integrity to be dropping. When I look at my radar lower-left, I do see the Extreme Ambient Heat orange warning blinking, which I would think indicates my suit's protection is dropping. However when I look under my Status Effect screen under "Extreme Ambient Heat" it actually says "Suit Protection Engaged" and "Thermal Level: Safe". Is it just saying this because my suit protection is currently not broken?
For more context, I installed Deadly Hazards and removed the beeping warnings. Also, within the settings I've extended Suit Protection Longevity to +100%, and I'm using the Very Deadly Hazards preset. Also, in the general game settings I have Environmental Hazards & Afflictions set to Advanced.
Hi, I don't have much time at the moment, otherwise I would explain a little more. Please try the following: Go to Advanced in the settings and then click Update (Left button), then go out of the menu completely and check if the temperature icon is flashing. If so, everything is ok and after a while (can take longer at 100% setting) the icon will stop and you should take damage.
No, the suit only loses its protection when the icon stops flashing and stays lit up permanently. Until then, it means you should try to get out of the heat soon.
Thank you. I'll try what you recommended. I messed with things a little bit last night, and I'm fairly sure it's working as intended, and it's just taking longer for my suit's protection to deplete with my applying that +100% longevity to everything. I turned things down do +25% and that seems more reasonable for me. I think the longevity bonus maybe just seems to lengthen the suit protection longer than what I was assuming, but I think having this option is good!
I have dialogue immunity toggled on in the settings (which I believe is the default), however my suit protection still depletes and I die when in dialogue with an NPC on a hazardous planet. Any help with how to resolve this?
Edit: after some fiddling, I discovered this is because I have the "Dialogue Camera" under "Accessibility" in the settings menu set to off. It would appear Deadly Hazards is relying on the camera itself, and not the fact that the player is engaged in a conversation, to disable damage to suit protection during conversations.
I hadn't even noticed that before. Thanks for pointing that out. I assume SpacePigeon added the function before Bethesda added the option to switch off the dialogue camera.
In addition to the Dialgue condition, I have added Conversation as a condition. This means that if the NPC you are in dialogue with is currently talking, the reduction of the suit protection is also stopped during this time.
New version is online, please test and give short feedback if it works.
Hey, thank you so much for implementing this fix (and so quickly)! I've just tested it and it works as expected, I'm able to engage in dialogue with NPCs on hazardous planets now and I no longer take environmental damage and die with the "Dialogue Camera" setting turned off.
Thank you again for the incredible work you've done to keep Deadly Hazards alive, it's an incredible mod and I know many people appreciate it.
I'm installing this mod right now, but I'm curious if you know how to mod the atmospheric pressures of Porrima and Akila, so they don't try to injure/kill us without a space suit?
Either you switch off the pressure system in Deadly Hazards via the settings or you change the pressure keyword of Akila and Porrima II accordingly: e.g. Porrima II (FormID: 5E3E6) from PlanetPressure04Extreme [KYWD:00295EBE] -> PlanetPressure02Terrestrial [KYWD:00295EC0]
I don't use Vortex, but I have looked at Functional Ship Infirmaries. It has a bug that has nothing to do with this mod. It refers to a FormID that does not exist. Neither mod changes common values, so a mod conflict is not possible. If Functional Ship Infirmaries does not work properly, you should contact the mod author.
It worked fine the last time I tried it. Haven't had a chance to play since downloading this mod, just noted that when I installed it the conflict window popped up asking which mod to load last. The conflicting files were LInfScript_PlayerAlias.pex, and LInfScript_PlayerAlias.psc.
Both files are part of Functional Ship Infirmaries. Deadly Hazard does not have these scripts. However, Deadly Hazard changes the SQ_DoctorsScript slightly. By adding that suit protection damage is also healed. This should not lead to a conflict. However, I don't know how Vortex handles changes to vanilla scripts. Functional Ship Infirmaries does not change the DoctorsScript, so there can be no conflict of the script. The change in the 'Doctorsscript' also serves to renew the suit protection when you are treated by the Doctor.
For Users that use the latest Starfield Patch don´t install the interface patch that Deadly Hazards offer it will break the "E" Key function (its like most UI Patches are currently get issues with the latest Patch)

I'm taking a look at this.It may take a few more days though, as I'm busy with my new mod at the moment: NPC Outfit Changer

Have a great weekend. :-)

But without your clean work, it wouldn't have been possible.
