It would be awesome if the SGC could get an elevator to the surface and then we could build an outpost to make it a true player base as currently we cannot build in it making it useless.
I have a little bit of feedback after playing with the mod for a while in case it helps:
The "kawoosh" danger zone is a bit too big, so much so that when in the SGC as it currently is, at the end of the ramp (not on the ramp) you will die if standing there. I'd say the ramps supposed to be the end of the Kawoosh right? It also stays around longer than the animation does, meaning when you dial and wait, then walk through, you also die haha. I do have 300+ mods installed so possible it's a conflict.
Another one is more aestetics, but in the remote dialing computer, could you change the options/folders/chapters to letters instead of numbers, i.e. instead of Gate addresses 1-50 it's like Gate addresses A-D and so on? Much easier to find what you looking for in that sense.
not a conflict, happened to me as well. I just know to take an extra two seconds before standing near ramp. You can notice the lighting change in the room when its safe atm.
Sadly that only works when in an enclosed space, when outdoors on any other planet you cannot see the end of the kawoosh as it's about double the size of what the actual animation is, and it stays around long after it's finished so you basically die next to the DHD.
That being said, once you know this, you just avoid it but sometimes I forget.
Well it had to happen :-) the mod "New Atlantis Awaits at Starfield" by Checker90 has mess up the Stargate location on Jemison -- FYI hope you can make a patch to fix this - I have pointed this out to Checker90

Stargate is one of my favorite Sci-Fi IPs and having an kind of open game like this with stargates makes it soo much better. My only thought is, I hope later on in development, we could get the ability to have a universe gate (or other styles) on our ship in a hab. That would be my only major request. That could even help solve the issue of larger ships not being able to land. But yeah, building my own destiny has always kinda been my dream with stargate.
The current plan for universe gates will be to allow for players to go to each planet in a solar system through a local network of gates. I do have one possible method allowing transit from large ships, as I have working ring transporters with a ship module available. I may also make a universe gate module for those who want to replicate destiny.
Oh, that's awesome! Thanks for the response! I'm super excited to see future updates. My friends and I grew up on the stargate series, and having played some of Starfield at start....It feels really cool, and fun, to be able to go to other planets through the gates. Thank you for making this, and I really hope you add a bunch of awesome features in the future.
Hello fellow Stargate fans. this mod looks incredible, that being said this is to the mod author @Tealcjohnston. In regards to the gate address system, the point of origin (last glyph) is not correct. It is only that glyph symbol if you are dialing from earth. Understandably there is not enough glyph information on the web and to accurately depict lore friendly gate travel you would have to redesign every gate inner track by replacing the earth symbol with an unknown symbol would take a while. I believe this can be remedied by dividing the starfield universe up into 39 sectors with each sector having it's own origin symbol.
I don't know when the next update of this mod is planned but I can't wait to test it! I'm really happy that someone had the courage, ambition and desire to create a mod around a universe as emblematic as Stargate.
Even if it's not huge, thank you. Thank you so much for this mod!
I will try to give you feedback if I encounter any problems with your mod (whether it be incompatibilities or other bugs of any kind) as well as potential suggestions if I have any that come to mind.
Don't give up! I will support you as long as this mod lives within Starfield.
I love this mod!!!! I have begun building outposts near the gates and I would love to be able to build outposts in the SOL SYSTEM i.e. earth, mars, venus - the Moon if possible can you add the Sol System planets
I currently have plans in the works to add Black gates aka universe gates to other planets in each solar system. I'm not sure how long it'll take to get this system working but I will get it done.
Look forward to this - since I use "GrindTerra (Mars/Venus Bio Mod) and Ktastic (Alternate Earth Bio Mod)" to make these viable living planets :-) since my focus is on Outpost building...
This is a cool mod, though the Stargates are a bit jumpy and don't spin smoothly. I also think they shouldn't spin when using a DHD as that never happened in the show, rather the chevrons on the Stargates should activate when the symbols on the DHDs are activated, if that's possible to code.
I currently have the issue with the stuttering gate resolved, and i have a few more features I want to implement before I do another release. Also I might do a lore accurate mode for those that want it, so it lights up as you dial.
I like this mod and can add the few mods that also add a touch of stargate like the museum replica, and star cap when playing it. Nice immersion for stargate fans. though a uniform and a few other props from the show added as mods would be nice and go with this one like the star wars overhaul does, except stargate and starfield is a natural together. if only someone would do atlantis from stargate atlantis as a place to visit and a few other poi built around the stargate worlds it would be so cool. this mod could be the heart of it all and lead to a total stargate conversion like what was done with star wars.
two main things though i found when playing this mod.
1. the exit after traveling through the stargate from one place to another is rather slow, and so long at first i thought the game had crashed. it needs to be shorter or something added at least to let people know the next place is loading rather than just a black screen. traveling to the sgc wasn't bad but going back to akila city later i was beginning to wonder if my game was still running.
2. The base is good, but if you could allow decorating and more functional decor (some decor mods do this), and maybe add an office space upstairs, a couple of rooms for crew and storage, medical and tech rooms, and an eating area off the main area expanding the area and a brig like in the series it could be even better and would make a cool and more complete player base/home. maybe the brig could be patched to work with useful brigs. also maybe make the glow of the dhd symbols last a bit longer and stronger to increase visibility when dialing.
3. also if you play this mod and Biome GRiNDTerraformation- a GRiNDTerra Mod together the new atlantis dhd is blocked by bushes. I don't think the biome grindterraformation can be changed, but if the dhd were moved a bit over to the right i think about a foot in the game it would be fine and the two mods at a critical point wouldn't conflict. later once the remote dialer is gotten it is fine. I had to access the sgc from akila city to avoid the above problem as a work around. The neon gate would have worked too as a work around for that first visit. Its a very minor conflict.

(Edit)
Wrong mod for the wrong game. Sorry for wasting your time.
Still, it looks amazing!
Please keep up the great work.
