So, update from here on out: this mod is now a growing Mod, meaning I will add new habits as I get ideas. These are and will always be plug-and-play habs. But I plan on mostly working ship theme habs built around a whole ship idea I feel they come out better this way. I am always open to ideas
Every door ways can be used now. If something dosen't snap it because that door path way was truned off so that there would be no auto door pathing this is only on two habs. This is not like the frist mod where you could placed a door and things would block you you can now say put a door way right in the bar and the bar will be replaced with a door way.
I am using the Owltech Captains Quarters 2x1. I love it, but in the far rear compartmrnt, the 2 terracotta warrior Statues would be so much more functional if they were marked as mannequins (to keep.the visual if people wanred) or were actual mannequins, or removable (i"ve tried markfordelete, it works but they just regenerate the next time i load).
I will put out a patch that will remove it. I would prefer to have more then one item in a patch so if there is anything else you think would be good to have in that patche please let me know.
I'll take a look, i really didn't want to cause extra work. usually, markfordelete works and i just do it on my end, but these seem to be super-persistent as they respawn :-) I'm still travelling today/tomorrow and will take a once thru for suggestions after I get home this week, thanks!
maybe they could just be removed as part of the 'empty container' patch like the mannequins (to avoid to many patches). I "think" they are buildable items (I forget from where) if someone wanted to add them back but also have empty containers.
I totally get that everyone will have their own preferred version of everything, down to which book is on which shelf, don't do anything that changes your overall vision. this is your project, we all just enjoy the fruits of your labor.
ok, since you asked, here is my personal list of notes. But none of these are game breakers, if you decided to make no changes, they are still awesome habs. and I really appreciate the new Aquatic walkway-empty, that was awesome! (I did record new walkthrus to make this easier to note)
side note - I never noticed the tv buttons in the messhall habs (buttons 1 and 3, don't actually do anything (as far as I can tell)

OT base - captain quarters 2x1: 1) the shower glass is clear. maybe a curtain or frosted/smoked glass? 2) i never knew there were weapon holders above the bed. maybe a very minor light/glow just to draw attention without changing the bedroom feel? 3) the terracotta warriors are taking up room, I'd remove them 4) the glass encased plants opposite the terracotta warriors in that same end of the hab I'd remove . if you place a door there they become freestanding and not fully connected.
OT base - Messhall 2x2 (port and starboard) 1) I'd remove the "beer' sign since it is so low to the ground, and there are only 2 beer boxes on the bar shelf.
OT base - Cargo Bay (empty rev 8 bay) 2x1: 1) I'd remove the chains, leave room for a full workshop, and/or make it look like the rev was raised up on the chain lift (so they'd be in the ceiling now) =====

OT Captain Owl - treasure vault 1x1: 1) as a variant of the 1x1, I'd remove the statue in the middle of the room. its very crowded and the plunger doesn't scream "treasure" (also its um, not technically SFW given the anatomy - lol)
OT Captain Owl - walkway 1x1: 1) as a variant of the 1x1, I'd remove the statute here also, again more due to lack of room

A lot of these i had planned on doing like the empty habs vision, but never got a rould to lol. I had not even though about adding a light over the weapon rack. I will keep this list and put a few if not most of these. I have no time line as of yet when that will get done, as the Pathfinder is my top priority right now.
What new hab does the latest update introduce? Could you post the exact information about what new thing you're adding in the changelog? Because there are a lot of habs and I don't know which are new and which aren't.
loving the "10. Aquatic Walkway 2x1" in my larger ship build, gives it a really nice luxury feel and not 'space metal'. I truly believe a long term spaceflight would need areas like this to give the crew that sense of 'nature'. No matter how far we go, we are still [art of nature and need it around us. like the massive atrium in Babylon 5.
I am having some pretty strong reflection/flickering on the tanks. Didn't know if this was intended or an issue. added a photo to user section for you
Looks like it working fine. Right on the other side of the glass is the water effect, to give it that Look. Water in Starfield does not work the same way as say fallout were it was like full 3d item, water in Starfield is like a rug or mate you place over a spot.
thanks, i guess its either the reflections or something looking like the NA MAST ramp where its no reflection at all to the water tanks, no happy medium. either way, one of my fav habs.
I am not able to see the habs in either NC or Freestar ship services. Is there some incompatibility with Ship Builder Configurator or Ship Builder Categories?
They all but one let you put 6 side directional doors the one that does not it the rev8 hab. You can put door wereever you want. So I don't understand why you would be having a hard time with doors.
@sgtowl I have a ship parked at New Atlantis that seems to have appeared after your latest update its actually in the player ship parking spot, the only mod i have updated recently that modifies this area is yours . Does that make sense?
No that dose not make sense nor dose it even comes close to something my mod would do i don't add or or even touch ships files. Also i don't touch any city's in the game in this mod. My mod doesn't modify any area at all. It just adds habs
Some very interesting stuff here, but a couple Qs: 1) should we generally assume that "functional" interactive stuff doesn't do anything (for example the various doodads in the treasury 1x1 hab, other than the storage boxes) 2) are there differences between the 3 sets of Owl habs that show up in the Habs selection menu? They seem to have a lot of overlap in terms of naming so I'm wondering if I'm missing anything
I do notice,, there are 2 captains habs... I use SBC and PDY... but the menu with the captain owl captains quarters is duplicated.. i dont mind.. just wondering if intentional... are habs different.
actually 3... 1 has 50 shielded cargo.. other 2 have 5 hull and 1 crew... 2 captains owl quarters and 1 captains quarters... the captain owl quarters have the 50 cargo and regular doesnt.
