The data slate is linked to the exact same Enable Parent as the companion version of Estelle. If it isn't there, then her companion version probably isn't there either.
The first thing I would check is the mod installation. Make sure both it and its plugin are enabled in your mod manager, or if you installed manually, make sure it's in the right folder.
If installation isn't the problem then it could either be save file corruption or engine-level jank that I have no control over. You can use console commands to look up the unique form ID for the data slate and give it to yourself
Thanks for this, I always thought it was a shame we couldn't hang out with her more or romance her after the CF quest. Very well done mod, everything worked great for me.
Oh if only there was a way to have her as companion after siding with UC. Like how Brian helps out Dominic in Fast and Furious and then bangs Mia... or maybe not like that but you know, have the Starborn save her either by breaking her out from UCs Brig and running away, or faking the evidence so she seems innocent.
I just don't like the CF that much... They are the poorest in terms of dialogue writing in Starfield IMO. They treat the Starborn as scum even despite us doing all the hard work to get kryx's treasure. I also like Mathis, wish we could save him as well.
Still gonna make a CF playthrough to check this out tho, the concept is amazing!
Third this. Would be neat to flesh out the "I did you a favour since the Crimson Fleet is going down" dialogue option and actually convince her it was is was a necessary move, have a mission to break her out, earn her trust back somehow. In general, the more RPG options and routes towards accessing things, the better! Been playing a lot of KCD2 recently and the amount of options you have to start and finish quests is pretty mind-boggling.
I agree here.I would like to have Estelle as a companion, but I really don't want to work with the CF.Perhaps there is a way to add an option for people who cooperate with SysDef?
It would be cool to add a jailbreak option if you side with SysDef, but the problem is that her cell door is linked to all the other cell doors, and they can only be opened by siding with the Fleet, killing the brig officer (Armin), and using his terminal.
I tried using the Manipulation skill on Armin while still being friendly with SyDef, and made him use his terminal, but it didn't unlock anything.
If you want to cheat it, you can use console commands. After siding with SysDef and taking over The Key, go into the Last Nova, and type the following 2 commands, hitting enter after each one:
prid 0001e255 moveto player
This should enable Estelle as a companion by the bar, provided you have still met all of the required conditions listed in the description. You can just pretend you used Manipulation or something on the brig guards and on her.
I've tried twice to spawn her post-battle, once after getting my bonus from the UC (hacker-dude was still there with his hands up) and another where UC staff are walking around (no hacker-dude). She has not appeared yet. Is there an in-game timer that has to expire?
I checked and I still have the evidence called "the big score" so no chance of turning it in. I also did not rat her to BB and I gave her the 9k bonus.
--When I reference her (ie prid cmd), the screen says "NPC_'CF_EstelleRef' (0001E255) [PP]" at the top of the command window. --moveto player does not seem to do anything --I tried player.moveto 0001e255 but it just moved me to the last place I summoned her but she is not visible.
The console commands are moving vanilla Estelle to you, not companion Estelle. As long as you are in the Last Nova when you execute them, her vanilla version will be instantly disabled (you probably won't see her before you close the console) and her companion counterpart and data slate should appear at the bar.
It is also possible that her reference could be currently disabled, so try
awesome - the enable line did it for me too. also, aside from her killing the two guards in the bar, she started trying to kill all sysdef after the bar too - hilarious! I had to book it to my ship & take off before she killed everyone with her OP gun!
This is possibly related to the ships crew bug im experiencing, I have successfully recruited Estelle and have the inventory dialogue option, but sadly no option to enable her as the follower. I assumed she is supposed to be able to be a fully usable companion follower and not just a crew member? As I said, I have the bug where I can't reassign crew, 'no slots available' for any of my hired crew or companions. I thought this may have been related to the CACAO mod, but I've uninstalled that, maybe not successfully though. If you or anyone have any thoughts related to Estelle's dialogue or the known bug, plz halp
Possibly, I'm currently going through all of Lieutenant Toft's dialogue. She doesn't really have enough dialogue variety to support romance, but it would be possible to at least make her a basic companion. I've also looked at Hadrian's dialogue, but it would require spending a lot of time splicing to get enough to work with for romance, and right now all my time is going towards a quest mod
Great mod btw. I uploaded a Video with a short 1:19 vid of Estelle Vincent and my character in the VIP room of the Astral Lounge. I'll put the link here so you can see it. I'm hoping you will authorize it to be shown on your video page of your Mod Page. Sometimes uploads need Mod Author approval.
I've managed to recruit Estelle without completing any quest's steps of mod's description by manipulating the console commands. I have access to her inventory and can dismiss her from active party through the dialogue option but has no other option to talk or romance her (screenshot under spoiler).
Is it because her quest goals isn't completed?!
What I've done to recruit her without any progress in CF / UC questlines:
Spoiler:
Show
- turned off AI detection by exucuting in console "tdetect" command; - traveled by ship to The Key exterior cell (I can't dock to The Key station - Game doesn't allow me to do this); - checked crew specialist actor's ref ID, that on board of my ship, to get back to ship later via console; - executed "coc StationTheKeyInterior"; - went to Last Nova, there is no Estelle here; - "prid 0001e255"; - "moveto player"; - "enable"; - "help EnableEstelleCompanion 4"; - "prid XXXXXXXX" (XXXXXXX - ref from help command); - "enable"; - Estelle has been appeared for a wile in vanila appearance (one that she wears in Madame Sauvage's place when first met her) then disappeared; - 0001e255.moveto player - She has appeared at the bar in a new outfit but can't be recruited and loop same phrase about drinks; - choose Estelle in the console then executed "ssq 0000D773" and "forcerefintoalias ActiveFollowers"; - now with help of the mod Command NPCs ordered to leave team and choose "Go back to your studies" and she start wandering at Last Nova bar; - Estelle now has a dialogue option to recruit her and can be assigned to outpost after recruiting (not to ship because of earlier "coc" command); - With hired Estelle get back to ship by "player.moveto [crew specialist actor's ref ID]" that was checked earlier; - Land to any landing pad to make your ship "home ship" again and assign Estelle to ship; - ^_^.
You did everything correctly up until the part where you forced her into the active follower alias, which most likely broke certain parts of her dialogue. There should be a data slate on the counter in the Last Nova, you have to read that before talking to her. This will enable her recruitment dialogue properly. I would load a save from before you used the console command to force her into the alias.
Also, note that vanilla Estelle will now be disabled in your game, so this will probably break the vanilla quest Absolute Power, if you care about completing it
Yes. It's much easier like you say and I was inattentive with note. After activating "EnableEstelleCompanion" and reading the note all goes right. Thank you for help!
I utilize this mod :) I have had zero problems with it and love her as a companion. I was careful to follow the recruitment instructions on your mod page and everything worked as advertised. We need more companion mods in my opinion, especially romanceable ones for the immersion. Appreciate your talents in modding and keep up the great work.

I did the prerequisites, finished the last CF quest, and Estelle is in the Last Nova. But there is no data slate on the bar counter.

Thanks for the commands

I'd also love to have her as a companion/partner without needing to side with the CF...
It is also possible that her reference could be currently disabled, so try
prid 0001e255
moveto player
enable
She then started shooting everyone (boo) ;)
I recruited her after she killed them and I did not interfere.
Thanks as "enable" did the trick
Prid 0001e255
Moveto Player
enable
THANKS
Impatient to see your quest mod

- Estelle has been appeared for a wile in vanila appearance (one that she wears in Madame Sauvage's place when first met her) then disappeared;
- 0001e255.moveto player
- She has appeared at the bar in a new outfit but can't be recruited and loop same phrase about drinks;
- choose Estelle in the console then executed "ssq 0000D773" and "forcerefintoalias ActiveFollowers";
- now with help of the mod Command NPCs ordered to leave team and choose "Go back to your studies" and she start wandering at Last Nova bar;
- Estelle now has a dialogue option to recruit her and can be assigned to outpost after recruiting (not to ship because of earlier "coc" command);
- With hired Estelle get back to ship by "player.moveto [crew specialist actor's ref ID]" that was checked earlier;

And thanks for warning about quest.
Thanks for sharing your work, I'd really enjoyed Estelle company before going through Unity.
help EnableEstelleCompanion 4
Then look for a STAT record that is named EnableEstelleCompanion, and make note of its 8 digit ID. Then:
prid XXXXXXXX
But replace the Xs with the actual ID. This will be different for everyone depending on where it is in your load order. Then:
enable
Then read the data slate on the counter first, then talk to her to recruit her
