CHANGELOG V1.01 - Fixes collisions on landing gear and the portside dual mount cannon, fixes lighting in the habitat hab, fixes seams in all hab interiors, removes direct reference to snapnode whitelist, adds new empty 1x1 2 level hab, Crimson Fleet Command Center 1x1, and Va'ruun armor panels
The mod author says it in the description page, "It's not like you were going to stack these habs anyways." But the cylinders are stackable, so let me rephrase that as a warning. If you stack the cylinder habs then go inside to check out your handiwork collision detection could get messed up. You may not even be able to activate the ship builder menu to switch to a different home ship -- in which case you'll have to revert to a previous save.
I use Place Doors Yourself. I don't know if that contributed to the problem I ran into.
UPDATE: I used PDY and this time placed "holes" between the cylinders and all appears to be well.
awesome mod. Strikes me you could make some awesome looking ships that look like they are from the expanse series with these interiors. Cant wait to see more modules and possible variations.
These habs and parts look incredibly cool, inside & out. I love the aesthetic, and they fit together with standard parts in creative ways.
They also *suck* to fight in when you board a CF vessel, which totally tracks & just adds to my enjoyment.
The landing gear also solves a problem I have with certain designs where I really want some support on the ground, but nothing else would fit.
Thank you!
PDY is working for me when I attach a standard hab to the mid-height door on one of yours. I haven't tried vertical stacks as the other poster asked about as I build my ships on one level.
Man, I wanna use this mod so badly. I had my eye on it for so long, but I cannot activate the mod. I even went in and removed the ship templates from the ESM file with xEdit to see if that was it, but nah. I got no clue, and it's driving me nuts. Whatever the case, when I try to load in, I just CTD anytime the mod is enabled. -_-
trying to remove the mod to install this updated version , boom imediate crash to desktop , is it breaking saves? Removed all parts even deleted some ships , crash after clean saves
I had never actually installed it before, so I was crashing when installing it. I talked with the author, and we discovered the cause was related to the new ship templates. Removing those creates a 'safe' version that can be used even by me.
Wow! This has to be some of the most immersive and creative ship parts on the nexus. I love it! Now I’m just hoping for a useful brigs patch. Thank you for your work!
Not sure what's causing it but I actually wanted to uninstall this mod but it keeps crashing on save-load whenever I disable it and won't load the save until I re-enable the mod, even when I'm nowhere near a place with the assets loaded in. Any idea how to fix this?
Huh. I've just looked into this, and you are correct. I believe that this is a problem with how the base game handles ship templates. I'm going to do some more testing and see what I can figure out. Some research suggests that this is a problem with all mods that handle ship templates. There's some questions to be answered - I'll update when I know more.
while i love the designs and most things about this mod, have been using it for a few builds, could you please add a non exclusive structural piece to adjust normal landing gear to the height of your bay, and i dont mean like the bracing for your habs which work fine, but one for normal structure to do so since you cant equip those bracing to anything BUT your habs? i would love to be able to use your bay with other habs as its a look i love, but the custom height make it impossible to fit ANY vanilla gear without using your habs and structural piece!
Thank you for this and thank you for not charging for it. You did a really good job with them and it is the kind of thing I was looking for. I have to ask are you just doing them for the crimson fleet or have you thought about maybe doing some for house va'ruun? It always bothered me everyone fly's the same ships with no character at all and this really helps address that. Either way thank you!
Thank you for the compliment! I had a lot of fun with this project and was happy to get it out to the community. I've considered some designs for house Va'ruun and I have a concept for what it would be like. Think F117 nighthawk-ish, with a lot of use of my modular armor system that I developed for this mod. With that said, I'm currently looking at some other concepts for my next project. I like to do projects that teach me different aspects of the CK, so I'm working on some weapon concepts right now. I also have some plans to expand this mod. I've got a few more parts I'd like to add and I'd love to do an in-game factory as well.
Hi, big fan of these hab and structural designs! One thing I did notice was the lack of CF themed EM weapon for the ships. I like the idea of repurposing old weapons but I feel something the fleet pirates would want most of EM weapons that could knock out ships. It would also be fun to design a make-shift looking EM weapon by using like old satellite parts or out of production mining lasers.
