    Notes about v1.0.2+: The files were properly updated, and they are no longer split into 2 linked .rar files.
    Which means you can download and use Balanced Mode Version Part 1 and 2 separately since they are now two distinct .ba2 files.
    Or simply use both of them ( Recommended ). 
    I'm at the moment testing upgrades on .ba2 files to version 3 and will be keeping the files updated after testing everything properly.

    I recommend the "Performance mode - 512 .Ba2" for GTX970 players. Before I had just under 10 FPS,
    ULTRA SETTINGS
    now I have 30-35 FPS.

      Are you sure, you are playing "ULTRA" settings with this mod on 512?

    Wait I'm so confused....so it says I download 5gb in Balance mode part 1 but it only downloads 1.8 and the part 2 only downloads 2gb....I thought it might just be an error here in Nexus....I followed the installation procedures properly and the textures are broken.....so I thought maybe the balanced mode files are broken so I downloaded the Performance mode but then again it says here 5gb but only downloads 3.7gb.....I tried it in different browser and its the same....

      I'm using a 1660 Super, and I grabbed the 1k "Balanced" downloads. I haven't tried the others if they'd perform better or not. 

      Edit: I'm using a different mod's 1k texture pack actually. I remembered I couldn't get the part 2 here to download for some reason, but hopefully that's just a problem on my end haha.

    The download file is corrupted, it is like 1.8 something gig, instead of the file size indicated on the site.Can you please update it? thank you so much

    hey there, i dont see much of improvement, im not sure if i did things correctly. can someone tells me if i did things right cuz im a noob when it comes to modding..

    i downloaded balanced mode part 1 and 2.

    put them in data after unzip both files.

    add line in the ini file. like this: xxxxxxxxx, balanced mode xxxxxx (comma + space)

    clean the cache using a tool (see rebuilding shader when enter the game)

    Fantastic texture pack, Performance texture pack finally stopped all the GPU "limp home" low power mode whenever I went in and out of menus. Steady 1080p60 on a 3050Ti laptop with power to spare! 

    I wonder why the developers did not bother to optimize the textures, now the game runs as well as everything else in my library. Before, it was 100 CPU 100 GPU just staring at a wall on an empty map!

      It does work. Just add the performance ba2 into the ini file again after the update.

    Hi. Is it normal that after installation im MO2 archives tad i see this aarchive unticked meaning unmanaged. I tried to drop it in games data folder and instaled with MO2 got same result.
    Im using Performance mode - 512.Ba2

    Gonna extract archive and see if that works

      Do manual install as described in the mod's description. It works for me.

    hi there, mod works fine lightening the load but it seems weirdly incompatible with the latest addition of fsr frame gen. when this mod is installed and frame gen is enabled: the sound cuts off randomly, patches of ground textures become blurry, the game freezes for a sec when i initiate dialogue or open a menu.  all gets well again when i disable frame gen. 

    i have a 1080 ti and the game is installed on a nvme ssd.

      you need to delete nvidia and starfield texture cache and recompile shaders

      yup, tried that among other things. seems the game is just terribly unoptimized. any texture mod installed hard crashes the graphics driver.
