This was working for me for the longest time. Recently reinstalled Windows and Starfield and it's no longer working. By that I mean once I open the app and click "toggle" it doesn't change to "on."  NET 7 installed.

Would it be possible to make a version with less text or customized info?  I want to keep it on the whole time but the current text is very intrusive.

The nVidia DLSS indicator that comes with the driver always show all of that info, there's no way to change it.

Very nifty piece of work. I never like fiddling with the Registry due to my clumsy keyboard mashing.
Works a treat and now I know my DLSS is working! Thank you!

How do I turn this off? It's now* appearing in every game and toggling the switch doesn't do anything. Any manual way?

    edit: not to now

When you start the program does it show on or off?
Also, it has to run as administrator

Still only show half "o" instead of "off", but does not affect the use, it's okay, thank you for your work.

Are you on Windows 10 or 11?
      What's your desktop resolution?
      Could you post a screenshot?
      I can't reproduce the error

I have a 15.6" 1080p screen, also I noticed that version 1.21 and 1.22 have more font shading.

I tried dragging the window and found that the text in version 1.2.0 always fits to the left side of the window, while the text in version 1.2.2 is centered based on the positions of the windows on both sides. I'm not sure if this would help.(Forgive my poor translation).

Windows Defender flags most things as virus, mine doesn't.
Also, Nexus scans the files for viruses after it is uploaded.

AVG, Avira, McAfee and more flagging this file as trojan.
Upon running it (very first version, newer are suspended by NexusMods) drops several dll files, a lot of python libraries related to networking and does multiple network calls.
    https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/972107ac66bbcd7001bc4bd7654257b7de95f32e17b42e547fa5c8ca93029217/behavior

And while GitHub python file is fine, i can't understand - why on Earth using Python just for as couple of registry changes. It could be done with a simple Batch file. And if you wanted GUI then FPC/Lazarus, Delphi or .NET WinForms are just simpler and reliable solutions.

Converting .py to exe adds all libraries to the file, which is why it was being flagged as a virus

Hey thanks for this, just as an extra plea, it would be great if you could consider uploading the source code, as well as how you compiled it. Not saying that it's a virus at all, I know it's not, but just for the sake of promoting open source and mine as well as others' learning :)

This is overkill for a simple change and I highly doubt they will ever allow it. I doubt they have people to review code in a github. All this is just to create a new reg key. There are other solutions on Nexus that make this easy and is just a one line command that is easily seen to be harmless.

My guess is it has to do something with file format as stated in FAQ
    Unrecognised archive format
The uploader will attempt to generate a preview of the files inside all files (except EXEs). If this process fails, the file will be blocked as this can be an attempt to manipulate the file headers to throw off the scanner. In most cases, it is likely that the tool used to create your archive has done so in an uncommon format, perhaps using some kind of compression our system cannot decode automatically. A solution to this may be to simply repack your mod and reupload it. It is recommended that you use either the built-in ZIP functionality of Windows, WinRAR or 7zip for best results.

so im guessing the reason why Vortex didn't treat it as virus in first place is because it doesn't scan .exe files?
but yeah maybe its the format you are using thats causing this (if this is an Error)

I have packed it as zip and 7-zip and still getting the same results.
Was trying to make it easier for everyone to toggle dlss but i guess it won't happen unless the moderators check the file
