;this is a comment, this line has no effect appart from being descriptive for the other ones. ;any occurence of 90 is the desired 1p fov. For convenience. ;any occurence of 74 is the recommanded 3p fov, but also the proper fov for 16:9 22" monitor 50cm away from the eyes. ;the 55 is the ADS (zoom) fov. It's a common gaming fov for situations where you have to see far away, F1 games, train games, tank games, whatever. It fits really well here, trust me bro.
If you want to change the 3p fov, change all the 74 occurences to a different number (must all be the same number, as here).
If you want to remove the ADS (zoom) fov change, change the 55 (second line) to either the default 74 or whatever value you put in its place. (in short, ads fov = camera fov)
If you want to change the zoom speed, change the 0.150 (third line) to something a little lower/higher. It's probably mesured in second.
For testing, you can Alt-tab to your favorite text editor and make a change to the autoexec.txt, save it, then in-game open the console with ~ or ² or ù then type in :bat autoexec and press Enter. It might disable Steam achievements but has instant effect.
I actually thought about removing the aim zoom options and giving people instructions just like this, but I decided to keep the mod as simple as possible.
This method is actually a PROPER aim zoom as well, compared to what the game does normally which is just bring the camera itself in closer without any FOV change so you can see things in the distance better.
Thanks for this, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who don't mind taking the extra time for a much better aim zoom!
For all users that ABSOLUTELY want the sneak camera to drop with your character no matter what, you could simply delete the sneak camera files across all folders within this mod (sneak_camera.af & sneaksighted_camera.af). This will revert the camera behavior of third-person sneaking back to vanilla.
Alternatively, selectively install & modify Unified Camera. It does basically the same thing as this mod, but in the least case you just want the sneak camera files from that mod.
Would it be possible to have centered camera in 3rd person instead of over the shoulder?
I hate how the character is not centered in these games, and when you ADS it always blocks the left side of the screen, it also doesn't allow you to look over the left of a corner because your character will put himself in the line of fire.
I am running This, non-lethal framework and the patch. For some reason prisoners are not showing up in the brig. Also I am readying comments, and I do not need to bash people to send them to the brig, I get "restrain" option when they are knocked out, it consumed a headcuff and they do an animation and I send them to the brig. Computer does acknowledge that I have prisoners. And I can give them to UC security (altho last time I had 3 prisoners, I could also give them 2)
I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to keep the camera from reverting back to the close third person cam. Every time I exit a ship, enter dialogue, or even look through a long scope, the camera automatically switches from zoomed 3rd person to close 3rd person, and I have to switch it back every time.

Now there's a way to have a proper 3p shooter shoulder cam (kind of).
For 16:9 monitors do as follow :
sStarting&Console&Command=bat autoexec
setgs "b3rdPersonAimUseWeaponFOV:ThirdPersonCam" "0"
setgs "f3rdPersonAimFOV:ThirdPersonCam" "55"
setgs "f3rdPersonAimFOVAnimateSec:ThirdPersonCam" "0.150"
SetINISetting "fDefault1stPersonFOV:Display" "90"
SetINISetting "fDefaultFOV:Display" "74"
SetINISetting "fDefaultWorldFOV:Display" "74"
SetINISetting "fFPWorldFOV:Camera" "90"
SetINISetting "fTPWorldFOV:Camera" "74"
SetINISetting "f3rdPersonCollisionDelay:Camera" "-0.05"
SetINISetting "fCameraRecoveryMult:Camera" "0.8"

I set my 1st to 120 and 3rd to 110 to avoid motion sickness

For over a year, I've just been using the medium preset with a modified version of the settings above.

The place where the crosshair is, is not actually where your gun is physycally pointing.
In case you dont know what I mean, take a look at this https://www.reddit.com/r/starfieldmods/comments/1auu117/crosshair_not_aligned_with_weapon/
All this mod does is replace animations with other animations the game has. Doesn't change anything about the way the game functions.

Any idea how to fix this?
