I can confirm that the HUD icons for this mod will conflict with Ammo HUD, unfortunately since this is a replacer for the Old Earth AR, I can't easily support it in Ammo HUD without creating a fork of Ammo HUD (which would double the work basically).
This mod is also using HUD files from before the trackers alliance update, which means you won't have icons for the Novastrike, ArcMight Plasma Cutter, and any rover (Rev-8 or modded ones). This may not be a deal breaker for you, just giving information.
There is now a fix for that in the comments section for that mod. You'll have to manually change the names of the geometries files, but I can confirm that it works.
However, I am using the Remove Plastic Ak Handguard Cover mod as per your recommendation, but the plastic guard still shows up. Is their any known incompatibilities that we may not be aware of? I have run the file through the nif tool as well.
This mod's been broken for over a month with absolutely no word from the author. For all intents and purposes, it is abandoned and won't be fixed, much less ported for Xbox.
For anyone that's interested and, like me, doesn't know how to fix this mod themselves, this other mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/5232?tab=description) replaces the AK with a Vz 58, a very similar-looking rifle that fires the same kind of ammo. All you need to do is run it through the mesh migration tool (https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/9234?tab=description) and everything works perfectly.
EDIT: no longer necessary, unless one can't stand the plastic handguard duct-taped to the gun, as the mod currently recommended to fix that doesn't work anymore.

You have to use "Starfield Mesh Path Migration Tool for Sf 1.11.36" by yourself, but it will be displayed.
