    Updated the mod to work with Vortex. The folder structure was messed up. Sorry for that.

      A bit late but for anyone who reads this, the mod is not needed just customize your StarUI HUD (default).ini ctrl F enemyhealth

      Can you elaborate on this? It sounds like the perfect fix, but I am not understanding how to implement it.
      What default ini? there is none called that. and what do you add to that ini file? Thanks

    For some reason, the file is being flagged as a virus or malware when I try to download it.

    Any chance of combining this with the No Hit Marker gfx?
    I am no modder, but I attempted to edit the hudmenu.gfx file myself using JPEXS Decompiler - first time worked ok but had no idea what I was looking for, second time got a stack overflow error and seem to be stuck with that.

    I did everything you said in the description but can not get this mod to work.

    I've made the StarfieldCustom.ini and added the text.

    Installed the mod in Starfield/Data, I still see health bars over enemies

    I am pretty disappointed Bethesda made the health bars like this to begin with, as no other game they've made has it like this.

    It's pretty much a deal breaker for me and I won't play the game without your mod.

      If you have any mods in your Documents /Data then it will override anything that is in your games /Data

      If it doesn't work in the Starfield /Data then you can try and put it in the Documents /Data

      I personally never use starfieldcustom.ini and use starfield.ini in main directory. That seems to work

      Had no luck getting this to work. My Starfieldcustom ini has the lines
      [Archive]
      bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      sResourceDataDirsFinal=

      And I have put the files into Starfield\Data\Interface
      Inside are the two files hudmenu.gfx and hudmenu_lrg.gfx

      Bait used to be believable.
  7. Thanks for telling us that Starfield.ini has to be correctly setup, really helpful!

    Following someone elses comment, after modifying the Starfield.ini in the game's root folder and adding
    the lines under Archive section

    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=

    It now works....

    Might it be possible to just change the position of the health bar?
    I find that as a long range sniper build, health bars are visually distracting at range.
    Just move it up like 100-200px and for extra points have a thin line pointing from it to the enemies heads :)

    Also the Idea of having them only in scanner mode, would be perfect for added immersion.
