i have the same issue and im not even using this mod yet... if anyone knows of a solution please help... im looking to make a batfile that sets shadow quality to ultra first, then takes it back to low . after each loading screen and save load it happens and i must do that to fix it
some notes though while u get a massive performance boost this is just too much even the more npc version, cities become ghost towns, ive cut the number from 200 on screen at max to 100 and this is the most optimal until bethesda patches.
i deleted the mod and instead i did this which completely almost instantly fixed my issue in big cities, i will have in mind i have a 5800x3d [Crowd] fCrowdActorPlatformSpecificSpawnScalar=1 uMaxCrowdActorCount=100 (original value 200)
Only performance mod I've actually used that increased my fps to like 100+ in cities and I have a 3090 and 5900X sadly comes with the cost of no npcs. Would like to see a replacement for high, medium, and low settings too but it probably doesn't matter.
This is because higher GPUs become CPU bound in Starfield at a certain point in high CPU intensive areas, meaning even lowering graphics won't help. NPC count is really the only thing that can help performance for higher cards in intensive cpu areas.
At a certain point in some cities, even DLSS or any upscaler wont improve performance because of the cpu bottleneck. Although changing the NPC count and spawn rates does eliminate some of that bottleneck so you can actually get more FPS, even with DLSS. People were complaining that even in cities they got the same FPS even with DLSS on, and thats because of CPU bound issue.
Do you know if there's away to despawn ships whenever I walk out in the cargo bay of the crimson fleet there's always ships crashing into each other I have a feeling this might be causing lag even though when looking at them I don't feel the lag. Also do you know if there's a command to get rid of the blur when you have low oxygen I know there's a command for getting rid of the blur when low health (bLowHealthIModEnabled=0) but I haven't found the command for low oxygen.
I dont see anything to remove the blur effect, only thing i would suggest is messing with the CarbonDioxide values, because once you start receiving Co2, the effects begin.
Create a new text file and enter "setgs fOutOfOxygenEffectTimer 4.000000" remove "". Change the number from 4 to whatever your liking to test and save that file into your starfield main game folder, call it oxygeneffecttimer. Now go to your documents/mygames/starfield folder and open StarfieldCustom.ini, add line under general at top and call it sStartingConsoleCommand=bat oxygeneffecttimer; This will now read your file you added in main game folder when you load up game, just change the value to your liking and test. If you already have an existing sStartingConsoleCommand just add your line after the ; bat oxygeneffecttimer
Ok from what I can tell setting fOutOfOxygenEffectTimer and fOutOfCarbonDioxideEffectTimer to -1.000000/null only make it play once when you first run out of oxygen not every 4 seconds this gets rid of some of the annoyance but not all. I tried setting it to false and it just sets it to 0.000000 which still plays the effect. There has to be some kind of fOutOfOxygenEffect/fOutOfCarbonDioxideEffect value but I'm not sure what it would be. Maybe theres a way to see what the command effecttimer is running for the effect? If you have any ideas how to make it not play at all let me know.
I'm still testing multiple other solutions, but the game is so badly optimized that CPUs are struggling, even the best CPUs around. Right now NPC count is the only way that make a real difference to cpu performance. Lowering Shadows and Volumetric Lighting can help slightly too, but nothing major. I'm still testing so I'll update the mod if I find any more performance improvements.
Yo hands down this is the best performance Optimization mod when i load my save game and waited 30 to 60 sec everytime when i do this stay idle 30 and 60 sec doing nothing my fps is always around 80 90 and even 100+ playing on Ultra settings since my gpu is 3080 cpu R7 5800x also tested wihtout this mod man my fps always at 60 to 50 lol however i bought a bundle upgrade for my pc specs so gonna go beyond it later on when SF gets dlss in their next updates also Endorsed ya mod

I'm severely CPU Bound, had 80fps out city and 40 fps in the city... Now 51 with the mod.
Please let me know if I even Further improve my High CPU usage
