Despite your username, hoping you won't deny ACCESS to bringing TARS Voice Mod to Xbox players! I'll give full credit, link to original mod, and handle Xbox support. I have experience porting voice mods successfully. Happy to show testing results if needed.
Awesome mod, a must have for me as a Interstellar fan :) However, with the last vehicle update, there are a few new lines for Vasco that need to be changed to the TARS voice.
Was going to comment the same thing. However, the author hasn't updated most of their Starfield mods in a while, so I don't think we'll get an update any time soon. :(
Edit: saw they were going to update the ADS FOV Removed mod so got my fingers crossed :D
I probably will, it's just a hassle and the setup I had to handle the whole mod process has been wiped since then.
It wouldn't be hard to set back up again, it's just that this mod cost me around £30 to create due to how many voice lines i had to send to ElevenLabs' API, and that was during a promotion.
I'd like to revisit this at some point though, I tend to mod what I'm currently playing so, I can imagine shattered space may bring me back...
Hi I love the idea of this mod, will you be adding it to creations so it can be used on console/ gamepass pc? ill even be down if you added a price to it.
First, I had to extract all of Vasco's original lines and use AI to batch convert the audio into text files.
I grabbed some of TARS' cleanest Audio files and chopped them up using ableton. Then give that singular combined audio track to elevenlabs to replicate. Which resulted in my own personal voice clone model.
I then used their API to write a python script that sent my folder of text files from Vasco to elevenlabs to use my personal model and spit out all of the text files as individual audio files with said model.
I paid for a few elevenlabs subscriptions in order to replicate and fully replace all is his voice lines.
There isn't a ton of TARS clean dialogue in the movie, its hard to notice when interstellar is so immersive but there's actually a ton of bgm a lot of the time or ambience so I was limited on that area.
Following on from this, I listened to 100s of the audio files elevenlabs first give me and some of them were extremely accurate whereas others were slightly middle eastern sounding. So I paid for another sub to elevenlabs and merged my original audio file with the very accurate sounding AI voice clones elevenlabs give me (and removed the inaccurate sounding audio files) which produced much better and consistent results.
I think I did this one more time and then used wwise to pack it up for the game.
hey man can you share that elevenlabs model for TARS or the voice lines? thanks in advance such a cool project! trying to replicate for a personal project im doing with python
Much better than the original Vasco voice for some reasons, 1: The original voice gives me anxiety because he speaks so slowly, 2: If today in real life we have A.I voice that speaks perfectly like a human, so why the hell Vasco in the future have such a poor quality voice?
My only gripe with this mod is that it seems that, for several of his voice lines, it does not process a full stop. That is to say, it doesn't end a sentence at a period, pause, and then start the next one; it just barrels through many of them without hesitation, making it seem like they're talking way too quickly, and in one continuous sentence.

Elevenlabs, Ableton, python and wwise.

Not to sound ungrateful, but what would be icing is having TARS read the menu to you like when Cooper adjusted his settings!
