Due to popular demand, EXE has started to work on some fire fx!* *(but not SHIP ENGINES right now, those look awful because they are default base-game)
*You can see the new Incendiary Grenade ground fire vfx in V0.4, live as of Sept 8.
User Epocklan has suggested the following for those who want to install in game's root folder
For easy installation and for the future: make a systemlink. This command will allow mods to be installed and to work in the Starfield\Data-folder. 1. Delete \data\ folder in "my games" 2. Modify the input below, in step 3, to YOUR folder/disk location and YOUR username 3. In Start/Search of windows, type CMD to open command prompt, then copy/paste the following: mklink /D "C:\Users\****\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data" "G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data" (Use whatever drive letter your Starfield is installed to, 'G' is just his example)
Explosive remake: Explosions caused by weapons has new animation
Arc Welder zaps: Arc Welder's multiple zappy arms redone (Sorry, this mod doesn't cover it's poor damage)
Stone Impacts: Shooting stone surfaces now creates a nice impact mark!
Explosion Impact: The glowing cracked scorch left on a surface by an explosion has been remade
Metal Impacts: 2nd pass, more work done on metal impacts; crisp and detailed
**BLOOD SPLAT DECALSare no longer part of the base mod** EXE no longer affects blood decals by default. DLSS, Reshade, and HDR cause shimmer with all blood (base game, and modded) so now users have the option to download EXE's blood separately under Optional Files.
I don't know if this actually fixed this partially or entirely, but I tried this and it seems to have helped. It's a good patch, at least until the mod author returns from wherever he is now. Use it on the 'meshes' folder of this mod.

It's a partial fix. I notice the flame at the New Atlantis memorial is vanilla. Not sure about other textures though. I've played this for so long that I can never tell what's vanilla and what's modded anymore apart from obvious things...
@shane1039 That New Atlantis flame is causing issues for other mods as well-- mods that have already been updated to the latest, which makes me think that Bethesda broken that stupid flame in all new ways than we anticipated. lol
This is a great mod and I have been eagerly awaiting what's next. Weijiesen said, "This mod will be constantly updated with more vfx, images, videos, and more!
Be sure to check back often".
I'm just curious if this mod is still being worked on, as i haven't seen anything new in over a year?
I'll hope you will work with new weapons of DLC, bcs you work is muuuuuuuuch better then bethesda did. Thanks for this great mod and it would be great to have the new version in the near future.
First: thanks for the effort in making the mod. I have a question: after the latest patches in the game and in Vortex, is it still necessary to create this systemlink?

Place contents of zip into: C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Games\Starfield
(There may already be a 'data' folder there. Either way, drag the 'data' folder from this zip into that Starfield folder)
This is V0.6 as of Sept 19th, and currently covers:
- Actor fire
- Incendiary Grenade ground fire
- Muzzleflashes
- Scorch marks
- Impact Sparks
- 4k blood splatters (droplets and custom spurt anim too)
- Metal impact decal
- Wood impact debris
- Stone impact debris
- Particle weapon impact decal redo
- Explosive weapon's explosion animation
- Arc Welder's zappy arcs
- Explosive's decals (ie: glowing cracks + scorch mark)
- Stone impact decal (crisp, added depth)
This mod will be constantly updated with more vfx, images, videos, and more!
Be sure to check back often.

Some notable things in the current update (v0.6):
EXE no longer affects blood decals by default. DLSS, Reshade, and HDR cause shimmer with all blood (base game, and modded) so now users have the option to download EXE's blood separately under Optional Files.
