Be careful, the window glass they use is the same texture as the glass texture used in some objects, this means that some glass objects on tables and cabinets in the environment will now be completely invisible.

Awesome! Thanks for posting this, I'll have to try those commands out. I'll make this post sticky so others can benefit.
This mod and this video you linked clearly shows that light reflections are a huge performance hit: https://twitter.com/DavideSpagocci/status/1705657231201403165

So there could be a mod that just swaps all the textures of these objects with the texture used for ceramics?
100% the best mod for New Atlantis performance I am on a 2070 and am now able to boostpack fly through Jemison Mercantile in the spaceport without feeling like I am watching a slideshow :D
~ back too soon to endorse, but I shall do, when able
It helps in certain areas as shown in the videos in the description and attached to this mod. Since I made the glass texture 100% transparent there is no distortion/reflections which I believe is causing the FPS drop at least for my potato :D.
I wish there was a better solution, but it's good enough for now until I or someone can find a setting to prevent this FPS drop from windows. Just keep top sticky post in mind if you plan on using this mod.
Oooh, so that's why the fps is broken inside my ship!! Thanks for the info! I'm gonna try to reduce the reflections before install the mod and see if it helps, either way, thanks a lot!

But then again i had literally the same experience back in the day going from dragon age inquisition being fine to fallout 4 being near unplayable.

Also, can you tell me more what these line do again? I am trying to customize my FPS as well without having to make glass 100% invisible.
