the crimson fleet helmets are invisible besides the colored visor and the lights on them. I do not have any mods that change them or conflict, so I'm not sure what the problem might be. EDIT: it works perfectly fine now. I didn't do anything; it just works now...
Wondering if this mod needs updated or it may be a mod conflicting? Trying to feel out my options. The helmets are not registering while equipped but in the display menu it shows the visor is working.
Just out of pure curiosity; I'm not trying to question your decision, merely trying to understand the reason behind it, why make them completely opaque? There's certainly no denying that it looks cool, it just seems a little impractical from my point of view.
I don't actually use all in game, I just few ones, like on UCSEC guards for example, where the NPCs are very generic looking and they look much better with dark visors.
I got this mod to work once and then it stopped. There was an update to the game the second time I tried using it, so maybe that is the problem. I downloaded the version from the ingame creation installer. I’ve tried moving around the load order.
The meshes are already updated for the last Starfield version. This is a problem with Bethesda modding implementation, which they are bug fixing since a while now.
Not so much for me on xbox, it seems anytime I try to load in midgame rather than start a new one game, it doesn't appear. I am new to modding so this could be user error.
Edit: After reloading several times, shifting the load order a bit, and then closing out the game after it updated the modlist when returning to the main menu seemed to fix the issue. Still might be worth looking into though.
P.S. Great mod, adds a much more needed intimidating/cool tone to the game's player and NPCs. Thanks for creating this.
Hey man great mods, think you could make a clear visor mod for the uc helmets? More specifically the UC Pilot helmets, I hate the red, yellow and orange tinted visors on them.
Or could you give me an idea of how to change them myself, I'm good with blender and photoshop and I've modded alot of other games I just haven't modded a bethesda game before. I know I have to export the nif and change the materials but thats about it :)
Hi. I used NifSkope to edit the meshes. But if you give them a clear visor your head will be missing, as they are closed face helmets. A Starfield Creation Kit will be required to edit that.
am i the only one still getting no helmets? because i just installed these and im getting no helmets. i did what it said unpack the files into my game folder then put the StarfieldCustom.ini in as well. am i missing something or?
i did unpack them with winrar but i still got the invisible helmets. i tried removing them but still kept getting them. right now i uninstalled the game and reinstalling it seeing if that fixs it. im guessing i did something wrong because noone having the same problem. if anyone can think what i did wrong let me know.
i figured it out. i was doing it manually because i had this mod when it first came out when you had to install every mod manually but since starfield works on MO2 now i tried that and it fixed it. Xtudo for trying to help anyway

Then I updated my meshes with Starfield .nif Mesh Path Migration Tool.
I hope this helps.
