Haha, I appreciate that people even remember these mods. I might come back eventually. I really honestly haven't touched the game since not long after this was uploaded. I might see how the DLC gets reviewed and give it another visit. If I was gonna revisit this mod specifically, I'd completely redo it, it was kind of thrown together with what was available at the time. I'm not really sure what the state of Starfield modding looks like atm, I haven't looked at the tools in forever. As far as BGS games go, I've gone back to Fallout for a bit with Fallout London, and might make some submods for that.
This mod is a mess. Why does your Mantis replacer file package include a texture replacement for the Mark 1 suit body? This is causing issues with my other Mark 1 mod! Please fix this.
Somewhat rude. Yes this mod has some issues. It was made at a time prior to NifSkope support. It replaces the Mantis suit with the.Mark 1 and relies on the texture files it uses. I do have a couple of updated versions I played around with, as well as other Starfield projects mid completion. However, I haven't really fiddled with Starfield modding much in the last month since the game got a little dull for me.
@JohnnoirAtlas619 I'm sure I will get around to it. That was the version I replaced in the version I have the most complete that I do intend to revisit soonish.
Hey is it possible to make a Mark 1 replacement for this? I would love to have that but after trying for a couple of hours now I cant seem to figure out how to make it work.
Solution 1: Find where the mark 1 is saved in the games file hierarchy 2: Create a new hierarchy that matches it but is located in the data folder 3: Make sure the files have the same names as the original 4: Profit
The game will prioritize loading the assets from the folders over the assets in the compressed hierarchy.
Sometimes it can glitch out a bit. I've found unequipping and reequiping tends to fix cloth physics. Should have an updated version to this mod soon. I've been really trying to find the best assets to use to solve clipping. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to rescale things or transform them without breaking the mesh so I'm trying to release something that fits the game better, feels functional, and clips less.
I figured out what was causing it. It happens when I have the both the settler's poncho outfit and the mantis suit equipped. Don't know if that helps at all. Love your mod thanks for the quick response.
