If you want an addition to the description, this mod also works with the Windows version. Just dump the data file in: C:\XboxGames\Starfield\Content or whatever drive letter your Windows games are being stored.
There is a conflict with this mod and "60 FPS - Smooth UI - TRIM".
Vortex shows a conflict between these two mods for mainmenu.swf.
Unfortunately, choosing either mod's version of the file does not fix the problem, meaning the Quick & Clean starting menu does not show up - although I no longer see the Bethesda "rolling vault door" animation. I still see the promo stuff in the upper right, though.
UPDATE: I ended up removing the other mod for conflicts with still other mods that I wanted, and this one works fine now.
So this works, but the welcome screen is back, this needs an update I think.
EDIT : idiot user error. My new Windows 11 install was saving StarfieldCustom as StarfieldCustom.ini but when I turned known file extensions back on it was actually StarfieldCustom.ini.txt
love this mod, it much easier to install than the other mod that does the same thing and i installed it thru the MyGames/Starfield folder so that works out alot easier, and going thru that method works too the only problem i had with it, was that it still shows up with Bethesda intro video, but thats pretty much about it, and i dont mind it either
Your mod was packaged oddly which was causing problems with mod managers, I've removed the extra top-level folder so it should install correctly now.
Thanks!
Edit: Looks like this was reported to you several times but you just hid the comments? Feel free to PM me if there's a specific reason for this you don't want to talk about publicly.
Dude, can you do a mod to extend the background of menus?
For ultrawide and super ultrawide there is black bars in the sides of most menus, and i don't even need that the menu goes all the way to the edges, if just the background goes, i'm happy.
I'll be eternally greatfull if you can do this. Lol
Yeah. I'm going to browse through the files and see if main menu has a large version. If so expect a fix tomorrow morning CET.
Edit: virtually everything has a 21:9 version but the main menu does not. So excuse me while this doesn't have a high priority on my list, and someone is probably going to come up with a solution earlier than me. I'm focused on other things.
No problem, man, thanks for looking into it and for the tip.
StarUI is awesome, already using it, but still 16:9. And is really strange that Bethesda let this slip, it's very immersion breaking,
As i seen so far, the main menu, pause menu, inventory, terminals and digipic are all 16:9. But the map, that is terrible by the way, it's 21:9, well, who knows.
I'll try your suggestion and i'll report if i got it working.
I only have 12 mods installed. This is the only one that says it's for the main menu, but the beautiful planet and star background video is now absent, it's just the starfield logo on black. Is that the intent of this mod? I'm trying to deduce if it's this, a BethINI tweak, or somewhere else that caused this.

FYI, after the update 1.14.74.0 the Bethesda logo is appearing again.
Other windows are not.
Btw, thanks for the mod 🙏
Awaiting update patiently. :)

For the inventory you could try StarUI?
