I've updated XPALO to version 1.1.0, give it a try!

If you're running into issues, read the Troubleshooting section on the mod Description page first.

If none of that solves your problem, I'll do my best to look into it, but please have patience.

If reporting an issue, include any helpful info, such as CCR/non-CCR, mod manager you installed with (if any), etc.

Hey I just installed this mod and I did a side quest called bare metal in neon and I got 100 xp. Is this mod working, I have it set on 200% of standard xp gain and it doesn't seem right to me? Can someone confirm if this is how it should be when it is working?

I'm also using vortex and CCR, there are no conflicts either it should be working. I did download and install the mod mid playthrough around level 10.

I'm getting a message from SFSE that the "Console Command Runner" is incompatible with the latest version of Starfield.

When I go to the comments for that mod, I see people recommend we switch to "Console Command Runner Updated".

Should the requirements for this mod be updated?

What a shame... is there anything else that works similarly?

You can just look into the file structure of the mod and run the commands yourself manually. It's a bit of a pain in the ***, but it's feasible, or just put all of the commands in a single .bat file in the game folder and run it from the console

Appears to be working for me.  I have so far not managed to replicate any of the issues people have been mentioning.
      Testing:
      1. Installed, loaded save, did not gain levels, and progress to the next level remained roughly the same.
      2. Saved game, loaded save.  No change to XP or levels.
      3. Ran around and scanned a few things and killed a critter, was awarded positive XP, which incremented my XP value positively.
      4. Quit game, restarted, loaded save.  Still no change to XP or levels.
      5. Traveled to an unvisited star system, killed some enemies and leveled up.
      6. Saved, quit game, loaded save, found XP and levels as expected.

I'm using a mod to level creatures with my level, so, for example, I'm level 116 and I have creatures with level 160 and they're giving me more than 700 xp. Would anyone know how to adjust it so as not to gain so much xp so quickly???

I've been using the mod (CCR version)) and enjoying it greatly. However I wanted to change the Leveling Options and didn't realize there were specific instructions for uninstalling/reinstalling. I reinstalled mod using Vortex (right click on Mod name and Reinstall), changed the Leveling Options to a lower value and launched the game again.

Upon loading my save I get an immediate CTD now on all my save files. Do you have any suggestions or guidance on how I can get the mod working with my saves again? That way I can either keep the Leveling Option I had and/or then follow the instructions to actually uninstall it so I can reinstall it?

I can start a new game it seems with no issues but that is not something I want to do if I can help it.

Figured it out and its only costing me 10 hours of playtime. I was able to revert back to a save I had before I had the mod installed. I changed it to the version I wanted and loaded up that save file with no issues. I guess my habits of having like 27 save files for one character saved me this time around lol

Ran into a problem where I had almost two million negative XP (preventing rank progression), and after troubleshooting for a few hours I realized it was caused by this mod. All XP gains are being applied negatively instead of positive (for example, a fauna I just scanned rewarded me -110 XP, instead of +110).

I have never used any other XP-related mods, SFSE, Address Library have always been kept up to date. Since CCR (which you mention in your mod description) is no longer maintained, I've had to use Console Command Runner Updated instead, but that only works on initial load where the XP curve looks correct. Once I gain any XP, however, the curve goes back to being wrong (-2 million XP, XP being applied negatively).

    Things I've tried:

    • Reinstalled CCR/CCR Updated and this mod using MO2, as I usually do (no change)
    • Ran bat "Data/bat/xpalo.uninstall" command on all affected saves. Console output changes looked good, then resaved, exited game entirely, uninstalled both this mod and CCR Updated, ran game via MO2, reloaded affected saves multiple times (negative XP value still did not change)

    • Manually uninstalled all files (removing xpalo.toml, xpalo_base.toml, xpalo bat folder, etc.) from SFSE plugins and XP Overhaul data folder (no change).

    • Checked StarfieldCustom.ini for leftover references. Since I never installed it manually, the xpalo references were not there at all (not surprising)
    • Reloaded affected saves multiple times.
    • Tried gaining XP from any source (it gave me negative XP values instead of positive, as mentioned above)
    • Used command player.modav experience 1 to give myself experience. That worked and my negative XP amount went down by 1.
    • Used same player.modav experience command to give myself 1905481 XP (to wipe out all my negative XP amounts, and put me to 0 at my current level of 188).
    • Tried to gain XP using any method now that I was at 0 XP for my current level. All XP is still being applied negatively (-110 XP instead of +110).
    • Uninstalled the entire game and deleted all leftover files, reinstalled fresh. Since the XP curve is baked into the save file, all of them still show me at negative XP, except for one I made before I installed this mod in early November 2023.

Any clues on how I can fully undo the changes from this mod beyond the steps above? Thank you in advance!
