-Open the StarfieldCustom.ini -in [Cloth] set bEnableEnvCloth to 1 (it is set to 0 with this mod) -also in [Cloth] set bSimulateClothDisable to 0 (it is set to 1 here)
-Add the following at the bottom: [Physics] bEnableHairPhysics=1
the last one may not be needed. I first tried that with no changes shown, then went and edited the two [Cloth] settings above and then it worked. Might be all three needed, or just the first two. Either way, my hair flows and I’m happy.
Follow up question, is there risk to deleting the StarfieldCustom.ini file, play some, and later add it back in to continue with these performance tweaks?
I would like to check out the gameplay settings and do some ship builder edits since that may also be affected. Ran into the same issue someone posted about with the Habs section.
Hey, I just wanted to let you know, the big mod, the 3 gig download, it breaks the ship builder part of the game, specifically the habs section. I spent like 6 hours narrowing it down to your mod, it breaks it even with your mod as the only mod in the game.

Hi. In order to do that I need you to send me the stock Starfield presets. If you can upload them and I can modify to make my mod work with it. I dont have Starfield installed anymore
I have been experimenting with running Starfield on my deck after losing my PC recently, these are the current settings presets https://www.mediafire.com/file/b96ox8d6syo673k/Starfield+Settings+Presets+June-15-2024.zip/file
There's a fair few new entries that aren't in your mod.
Edit: I'm not seeing any of the issues that ljhr85 has reported, i'm adding the mod bit-by bit and seeing what happens, so far I have put in everything but the StarfieldCustom.ini and added the missing entries to the preset files manually. I'm wanting to test drive the game more and understand how it's working before I start adding a lot of stuff to my custom file. So far it's already working quite well.
The whole gameplay options issue in particular has me confused, are you sure you didn't just improperly install a different mod?
Since the most recent update I noticed most of my HUD icons have turned into question marks. Also the Gameplay Options screen is inaccessible. Any advice?

edit: Had to do it in MO2 itself
its a shame, I want to enable the new hunger/thirst settings, but I suppose that could be a tweak to a .ini file as a workaround. Not sure though
One of the commands in there causes issues. Wish I knew which one but I have the game uninstalled so I cant test anymore

Edit: Appears to be the custom ini placed in documents folder.
is there a way to tell if I got the mod installed correctly?
Thanks for the work you've done with this Steam Deck mod
But I have to tell you it no longer works properly since the latest Star field update
The new gameplay options section is totally blank and unaccessable when I install these mods
Please can you look into fixing this as I currently cannot play Starfield on the Steam Deck
Regards
Thanks for replying
I can upload the required files but I'm not sure exactly which files you require?
If you could tell me specifically which you need I can do it no problem
Sorry for the noob'ness of my reply but I'm not very tech savvy and I'll need the specific name of said files
Regards
