    Requires Ship Builder Categories (link)
Failure to meet this requirement WILL result in a CTD.

    Notes:
    • Any stuttering you get in The Well or Neon Core is a vanilla issue, sadly, but is exacerbated by some mods. It's been reported to Bethesda on their Discord server, but until (if) they fix it, I recommend using the Starfield Engine Fixes mod with the "Engine Load Optimizations" option turned on.
    • To change from using Junk In Your (Ship's) Trunk (JIYT) to Better Ship Part Flips (BSPF) v1.1.0 or higher, you need to remove all JIYT-added
parts on any ship you own, then uninstall JIYT and all of its patches.

Hello there! Amazing mod, thank you, rux, just want to report that flipped versions of ship fuel tanks do not work with Starvival's refuel mechanic, vanilla ones are functioning ok. Figured i'd mention it here, if anyone else runs into this problem.

Thanks, I'll have a look at producing a compatibility patch.

For some reason "Deimos Wng A" and "Deimos Wng D" don't rotate vertically/are not available as options. Other elements seem to work fine.

Great mod , but it stopped LOOT from being able to sort my mods . Because I don't use every mod this patch's , it told me that I had missing requirements even though all the patch's I didn't need were not active . Hopefully I can get most of what I want from SMSEX , or I'll have to sort my game without this and then reinstall it after .

I have no idea why LOOT is stopping you from doing anything, it works just fine for me. I don't think it's a BSPF issue though. What mod manager do you use? As long as you installed via the FOMOD, any un-chosen patch should have gone in the "optional" subfolder, where they shouldn't be picked up by LOOT.

NMM , I was using Vortex but I really didn't like it so I went back to what I've been using since Skyrim was new . I've never had a problem like this before . But if the mod was designed to work with Vortex the fomod might not work with NMM . I know it was this mod because all I had to do was uninstall it , but it may just be how NMM installed it . I'm not going to use Vortex though , so it's either a manual install or I can't use it . I have other mods that are there but not activated , and LOOT doesn't care about those . Vortex tries to everything for you , where NMM gives you full control and let's you see everything . It wasn't even this game that got me to make the switch though , it was a mod for Skyrim that Vortex wouldn't install properly . A armor mod a clothing mod and a patch that made changes to both all from the same modder . with NMM all I have to do is install them in the correct order and they work perfectly , with Vortex I couldn't even use the patch . It refused to just put it where I knew it would work , and I prefer to do things myself . Not have a mod manager that tries to do everything for me , and wont even let me do what I know will work . If Starfield was my only game I might be able to just let Vortex do it's thing , But for Fallout and Skyrim NMM just works better . EA replaced the Origin app with their EA desktop app , and that was downgrade just like Vortex is a downgrade from NMM .

NMM is completely outclassed by the modern mod managers like Mod Organizer 2 and Vortex. Its FOMOD support is also broken, or at least incomplete, so it generally seems to f*#@ up installing my mods.

Since you don't like Vortex, give Mod Organizer 2 a try. It's got a bit more of a learning curve, but I prefer it over Vortex for Creation Engine games (Fallout, Elder Scrolls, etc.)

Alternatively, @jerryh72 could switch to NMM Community Edition, which is the direct modern evolution.

I still wouldn't trust it as far as I can throw it. MO2 and Vortex are just that much better.

Still no fix yet for "Stroud Nose Cap C" ?

All the markers show up for the various flips, but they don't work. The piece starts as the upside down Nose Cap C, but changes it's name only to Nose Cap B when using the the flip key and nothing else changes.

I just tested every single variant of the Stroud Nose Cap C module, and they all worked completely fine: all snap points connected to their expected counterparts, names didn't change, and all variants flipped appropriately. The only thing I can think of is that you possibly have another mod that is touching the module and changing it somehow.

You can try turning off half your mods at a time to figure out which mod is doing it, or you can do it one at a time. When you find it, let me know and I can have a look to see exactly what it's doing and possibly put together a patch.

Again though, just to be clear, this is not a BSPF issue.

You were correct, for me it wasn't BSPF that had the issue, it was the mod 'Weightless Structural Parts' that was causing the issue, but only for that one structural piece.

Oh, and any chance you would be willing to make a 0 mass version? <pweety pwease> I know it would be a LOT of work, but it never made sense to me that most "structural" pieces offer no benefit apart from cosmetics, they offer 0 functionality to your shipin most cases, heck, most don't even add "Hull" points, so why should they weight anything?

Please update or remove from Starfield Creations. My game refuses to load 1.3.1, which i want because it includes the flips on Nova engine struts.

I didn't update the Creations main file of BSPF to v1.3.1 because it isn't necessary. v1.3.1 only updates one of the patches, not the main file. I would suggest deleting BSPF then downloading it again.

Hello and thanks for the awesome mod!
I'm also experiencing micro stutter issue (freezing every 2-3 seconds in the Well, Neon, Cydonia etc..) when this mod is enabled, BUT here is one another trick I wanted to share to fight with stuttering.

So, if you are experiencing this specific stuttering, try to set your CPU affinity of Starfield.exe from Task Manager to use only latter half of your cores. I'm not sure how this works for others, but when I let Starfield to use only latter 12 cores of my 24 cores, stuttering is visibly reduced to almost non noticeable. And I'm sure I might not notice it at all if I didn't knew it was there. YMMW, but if it does not work right from the bat, you might want to try with different cores.

I tried everything I could find including Starfield Engine Fixes, but nothing worked, so I ran for a while without Ship Part Flips while mourning for the loss of freedom of ship customization it offers...

But now that I found that this workaround actually makes this annoying stuttering bearable, I could not be happier!

You'll need to look at the generic base form records in xEdit with all of your mods loaded and see what's overwriting the parts.

Any idea if you'll add a second version with the option to disable the decorative modules? I play on controller and it makes half of the list hidden off screen for me unless I use a mouse to scroll, because there are too many categories and I don't use those.

Could have just read some comments, will install on CC instead of Nexus and download BSPF Patch to remove decorations. Thank you! Great mod.

The Nexus file has the patch for removing decoratives already in it, you just need to choose it during the install, assuming you're using a mod manager like Mod Organizer 2 or Vortex.

Vanilla issue, unfortunately. Try using the Starfield Engine Fixes mod with the "Engine Load Optimizations" option turned on.

Sorry. You'll have to yell at Bethesda then to try and get them to fix their broken code.

Question: I’ve been using this fantastic mod for awhile on my Xbox. I also Cloud game so I can play on my ROG Ally as well. I’ve made sure my load orders were identical but I have a problem: on the Xbox the little two-snap point weapon mount has top, bottom, stbd and port flips but when I run the game on the ROG Ally, I only get the normal stbd and port flips. Any help would be appreciated as it then breaks my ship when I go into the editor.

Any chance we will get to see more flips added? Thinking of the remaining Stroud cowling, further Deimos wing flips and Taiyo parts. Love using this mod, but wish all of the structural pieces had the full treatment.
