Yes please, I just want to be able to view conversations from first / third person. Hell IIRC Fallout 4 even had the option to move around and still participate in conversations, what happened to that!
That wasnt possible in Skyrim. You could never walk around while speaking. I think you meant FO4. FO4 did allow you to do just that. It's by far the best dialogue camera style
Not asking to walk around while speaking. It is perfectly sensible to be locked in place when engaged in conversation with an NPC, otherwise it could break the dialogue system. Just want it to be like Skyrim....sheesh....
Break the dialogue system? How? Cyberpunk and FO4 do it perfectly fine. Hell, there's even an SKSE mod for Skyrim to enable player movement+mouselook and disables the mouse cursor, and it works perfectly. You just use the scroll wheel+E for dialogue. It's more immersive this way.
If by any chance someone who knows how to compile an .esp mod is willing to try, I think I've found the trigger in xEdit's view only mode that is responsible for the dialogue camera. It's probably not enough to fully stop this stupid camera, but it's at least a step in the right direction.
It's wonderful, thanks! 110 value is perfect. It's not third person camera dialogues but it's close. You don't see so much detail about mechanic expressions or bad mouth movements because of translation
u see this mod work but the graphic look lot darker and better in your chat scene, the thing is that i like to ask how can i make rest of the game like your mod? its too damn bright
Is it possible to have it angled down a little? So the person speaking seems a bit higher up. You get the same effect by looking down a bit in dialogue, but it auto corrects itself back up.
So strangely putting this code in the StarfieldCustom.ini didn't change anything in the game, I then also put it in the Starfield.ini in the main game folder and then it worked
One little change I would like to make is the camera angle so the speaker fills out the frame a little. As a reference, right now, the center of the screen (ie. where the crosshair is) is the speaker's head. I would like the center to be around the speaker's collarbone or chest.
This is the only mod that isn't working. I don't get how such a simple to install mod refuses to work. I put said file into the folder as instructed. nothing changed. am i missing something? are there extra steps or something? I just don't get it. Every other mod is working fine.
this works for the steam version, the gamepass version is different. You have to update starfield.ini where your xbox games are saved. Mine are here D:\XboxGames\Starfield\Content
Unfortunately, if your not facing the NPC in time right before the game pulls you in to speak to them, the camera will stay focused on the direction you were originally facing and remains locked until the conversation is over. You will end up staring at some random wall until you end communication.

Wait, there's a Skyrim mod that does that? What is it called?
