2. Spartan Armor Collection 4K Textures Part 2 updated the File name from SpartanArmorCollection - Textures4K.ba2 to SpartanArmorCollection - Textures.ba2, if you already downloaded the v2 file you only need to rename the file manually and not redownload it.
If you use 4K Textures version you should end up with the following 5 files from my mod:
SpartanArmorCollection.esm -> Spartan Armor Collection Base Files
SpartanArmorCollection - Main.ba2 -> Spartan Armor Collection Base Files
SpartanArmorCollection4K.esm -> Spartan Armor Collection 4K Textures Part 1
seems like either the mesh is messed up, or the normal map is.
you either need to add weighted normals to the meshes, or invert the green channel of the normal. there is very obvious and distracting "puffyness" to all the armors that are caused by those 2 issues
I love this mod! Thank you for the port, I’ve really enjoyed using this. Got my whole crew kitted out as different Spartans. I tried to make Spartan Dinh’s armour (shared my pictures). Would be fantastic to see even more options in the future.
Sadly I am console so I can only access through creations which shadow_pryo kindly ported over.
do you know if the console version will get the same updates as yours like the ones you mentioned in your pined comment? Eg different colours, visor colours and different texture options.
im having an issue with Emile's helmet texture being almost invisible like its barely scratched it this a mod load order or something else? also would you ever consider doing a uc to unsc type of mod? :)
Would it be possible to get these injected into the game's loot/poi/npc system? I ask because crafting things out of blue which are not found in the game naturally keeps me from downloading awesome mods like this. Idk, it could just be me, and I know that is a very uncommon take. Thanks for all the hard work though. Keep killing it.
Yeah I doon't want these injected into the lootlists/equipment in the game. so I would be against this being in the main part of the mod..Spartan suits are supposed to be rare and manufactured secretly; I feel like it fits that it's not obtainable by just anyone.
Awesome port work, honestly great to see some serious Halo love; thank you so much for sharing this with us. Can anyone verify if the 4K textures are worth it? The ones included in the screenshots seem a bit blurry in some parts, I can't tell if that's a result of the lighting engine and weird normal maps, or something else.
Update: I decided to grab the 4K pack and take a bunch of vanity and example shots with little to no filtering/generic lighting, to give people a better feel on how they'll typically look in-game. I may also include some with the 2K textures, once/if I test those out. I'll include them in the Images section, if anyone wants to have a look for themselves.
I would say the pre-made outfits are typically more saturated/less visibly worn compared to the parts you can fully customize your character with; but they unfortunately end up looking far more glossy compared to stuff like the full Mark V or Mark V [B] complexes. Also, the Complexes' textures seem to be very scuffed up, maybe too much for my liking. But this is THE premier Spartan Armor mod, in my opinion.
And there are a LOT of different pieces. The depth and complexity of the customization is borderline overwhelming, but once you're able to discern which pieces correspond to which body part, it's pretty much smooth sailing. I applaud the author for their comprehensiveness. Anyways, hope all this helps people out, and happy new year! :)
