Would there be any issue with an important NPC dying ? I am not far into the game and pretty afraid to be softlocked if Sarah Morgan just straight up dies before leaving New Atlantis. How can I disable this option ?
Plus that F7 option does really make me level up each time I press it, isn't that op or is it only for the early game ?
Maybe its because scum has a very low leveling point system. Idk. Sorry for that. Just stop pushing F7 :P Otherwise you can edit the console command txt file.
No problem, the mod is already really cool as is. I have one last question, how can I change ennemies' level ? I have been in an early quest to help a scientist where I've encountered a level 95 as final boss while I was level 20. I could kill the ennemy pretty quickly but the fact he did one shot me was really frustrating
Hi, not just holding it. You need to select it (ctrl+numpad7) It will change its size. Then consume it using CTRL+Numpad 5 (drink) or CTRL+Numpad 6 (eat). If something goes wrong and other item changes its size it is because the command selector. Press ctrl+* and move a little the object. The selector is invisible and autoselect the nearest item in the middle of the screen. Usually is your grabbed item, but sometimes fails.
I think it happens when the game runs out of vram. Try with lower graphic options. Also you can disable all starfieldcustom ini settings involving graphics. Do you use this mod alone or alongside others? Can you paste your modlist and load order? Thank you ;)
This is my only mod currently I am running and my game uses hardly half my 4070ti's VRAM so im not sure there, I disabled everything in the starfieldcustom ini under [Display] and it fixed my overly bright lights on interiors, but that then causes some of the shadows in game, most noticeably on trees in New Atlantis, to look like they end abruptly in a perfectly vertical line of casted shadow and normal light if that makes sense lol, disable the mod and all visuals are fine and vanilla obviously. Any file that is just the gameplay changes like the damage and loot tweaks rather than a file like both Deluxe ones that have your personal some of the graphic tweaks? Nothing against your taste on graphics, i just cant seem to get it to look as good and would love jus having the gameplay changes. Thank you for the reply :} EDIT: Disabling custom ini [Shadows] made no change, still have funky super dark shadows on some surfaces when wandering :/
Hi! Thank you for your feedback. Updated Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Edition Survival Compatbility. Lights and shadows now should be fixed. I use ingame DLSS settings :)
Is the forcing of HDR the cause of the bug where you get weird lighting issues? I am getting tired of having to toggle my display settings down from ultra to medium then back to ultra to fix it haha. I'm also behind on times without and HDR capable monitor so it's a setting I wouldn't miss anyways. If so, which lines in custom should I remove?
It most certainly is solved! Thank you so much. Been loving this mod from the start and I once again thank you for sharing this with the community and keeping up with tweaking it over time.
sounds good thanks for the response, enjoying the mod so far, only thing is I was getting some messed up lighting so i went in and got rid of some of the display settings that seemed to change light and bloom. I stopped getting survival notifications after this, Are any of the food/drink/sleep needs associated with settings under the display settings in the custom INI?
After looking at it a bit it seems something is causing the batch files for food, drink and sleep to not trigger, I can still force them in the console but when I wait they do not trigger, and after I think level 4 they stopped happening over the time period their supposed to trigger.
I've noticed that reloading a savegame (because dying for example) could be the cause, because the batch file starts a countdown when loaded and this event (reloading without quitting the game and launching it again) maybe affect that countdown. You can try to reactivate it triggering yourself the events (eating, sleeping,... using following the steps (grab, select, and consume - holding E + ctrl7 + ctrl5, for example). About the lighting issues, I've noticed that they are more common if using a dlss upscaler mod.
Gave the steps a try, I got the notification "you recovered mineral salts" but after waiting for a few hours they still didn't trigger. Everything else is working great though.
Did you wait using the ingame wait mechanics or wait real time? Because it's a real time timmer. With the timescale to 6, 75 min for drink, 110 min to eat and 200 to sleep
I really like how in your deluxe update you cleaned up the BAT file and added in some flavor text so you know it's working.
Your weather bat wasn't running right though and I checked the weather initialization bat file and you have the run line incorrect and prevented it from running.
Once again want to thank you for the time spent on this mod. I enjoy it very much! It brings back memories of using FGR for Cyberpunk allowing the user to have a lot of flexibility over tweaking the mod to their liking and also opening the whole game up for a more immersive rpg experience instead of "you can't go here till you are X level"
I like the tricks you did with the weather triggers. It makes it a bit more dynamic instead of just the same cycle over and over. I almost wish I didn't peek at the changes and ruin the magic =)

Eating and drinking is a bit boring because there are plenty of products. Same as first aid kits. Can it be reduced by 50%?

Change 0 to 1 in the following custom.ini file:
[GamePlay]
bEssentialTakeNoDamage=0 to bEssentialTakeNoDamage=1
F7: Yes, it happens only when you have low level because it's a training (or it was my intention).
Otherwise you can edit the console command txt file.
In Scum txt you can handle damage multipliers and other difficulty stuff
Damage multipliers are in the section DAMAGE
Damage player does:
setgs fdiffmulthpbypce 4
setgs fdiffmulthpbypch 3
setgs fdiffmulthpbypcn 3.5
setgs fdiffmulthpbypcve 5
setgs fdiffmulthpbypcvh 3
Damage player receive:
setgs fdiffmulthptopce 1
setgs fdiffmulthptopch 3
setgs fdiffmulthptopcn 2
setgs fdiffmulthptopcve 0.5
setgs fdiffmulthptopcvh 4
Last characters before the values are the difficulty level e (easy)..... vh (very hard)
For example in Very Hard you hit x3 and receive x4:
setgs fdiffmulthpbypcvh 3
setgs fdiffmulthptopcvh 4
Just change the numerical values
you can tweak the following leveling systems too in NPC section:
setgs fLeveledActorMultEasy 0.5
setgs fLeveledActorMultHard 1.5
setgs fLeveledActorMultMedium 0.8
setgs fLeveledActorMultVeryHard 2.5
setgs fLowLevelNPCBaseHealthMult 0.5
setgs fNPCAttributeHealthMult 0.7
setgs fNPCGeneticVariation 0.65
setgs fNPCHealthLevelBonus 5
setgs fNPCMarkerDisplayHeight 0.45
setgs iCalcLevelAdjustDown 1
setgs iCalcLevelAdjustUp 30
I cant seem to use the item when holding it.
all the other keybinds work.
will it work if i just consume the item or use it from inventory as well?
EDIT: Disabling custom ini [Shadows] made no change, still have funky super dark shadows on some surfaces when wandering :/
Thank you.
Great mod! I am not sure if the food/drink/sleep requirements are working or not. Is there a way to check the status of hunger/thirst/etc?
