If I understood that mod correctly, it adds new copies of existing parts after they have been rotated and tweaked for correct snap points and maybe something else. Basically I would need to make an addon for that mod which could break something every time he updates it in some way. So sadly nope, I'm focusing on other projects. You could ask for him to make a weightless version of that mod though.
Dude, thank you! This has been a huge pet peeve of mine since release. Some of the structural parts had a mass that didn't even make sense half of the time (like scaffolding pieces that weigh more than entire habs).
yeah, and also I'd love to see something similar where structurals keep mass but add hull, cause it doesn't make sense that adding more structurals doesn't increase your ship hull
I have a confession to make. I edited the mass number on old screenshots because I was too lazy to load up the game and take real screenshots of the change. So yeah definitely my bad and in the game it's as intended. Oops!
Edit: I added new screenshots with no sorcery. I think I leave the old ones to remind me of my embarrassing lack of skill and to not make the OP look silly.

However, he has no plans to do anything more once he's done rotated versions of all structural parts.
So, once it's done, you would not have to update it ever again.
But yeah, I've already asked him.
This is a much needed mod.
Then I'm definitely downloading.
(In fact, I was so interested in the mod that I got confused why my structural stuff had weight, then I remembered that I was waiting to download :P )
