I currently dont have the time to monitor this thread. The mod will not be updated as it is outdated by more current work of mine (in this case my "Dynamic Universe" mod on Creations). I will leave the mod here as legacy on Nexus as well as the post section open for users.
Thank you for playing/investigating this mod and for your understanding.
I have the dynamic universe mod on creations on Xbox and the vanguard missions/ the vae victus mission do not work when I uninstalled DY they started working again minimum enemy level doesn’t seem to affect the missions though
I’m sure you’re aware, but the new Shattered Space planets don’t show as “255” like the other planets, however, it SEEMS like the enemies are scaled properly like your mod does for every other planet. So, only a patch for the “255” visual may be necessary.
This only affects very few mission boards (to my knowledge only Freestar Rangers and Tuala's radiant missions after completing UC campaign). Anyhow, my "Dynamic Universe" mod on Creations will have a fix for this in v1.1
It's a game breaking bug though... because the first thing you need to do when joining the Rangers, is select a mission from their mission board. And it's been unaddressed for over a month. It's ridiculous that I had to direct you to fix this from your recent post on Reddit about your new paid mod. You clearly don't GAF about issues with your mods.
I am using DSLC and MEL together and I am wondering Is there a load order requirement between those two mods?
I am at lvl 248, and every enemy I encounter is at level 186. So I am curious if using DSLC and MEL in together is actually any different from using just MEL alone.
Yes, with DSL added in, even with your high character level the base enemy that the game upscles from with MEL will be different (upscaling from lvl 3 thug in lvl 5 system vs upscaling from a 98 Spacer Myth in a lvl 75 system - both end up lvl 186, but they are of different subclasses).
I was super excited but now disappointed... Maybe I misunderstood how this works, but now that I'm level 18, I'm poking around on level 30 systems, but all the enemies are still my level. Is the mod bugged? Or is this expected? I had hoped this would scale enemies to be higher level than me.
The enemy ships will unfortunately be very hard to scale like done in MEL (eg to 75% or 100% of player elvel). This is because they are very differently set up and have no min/max levels themselves and no percentual scale to player level options. I guess this is becaue they are made of modules that form their stats and therefoe have totally different stat calculations than the ground enemies.
That said, they should get more dangerous with Star System level, too. So at least DSL/DSLC and the MSL mods can be helpful here.
Thanks for this. I have installed all your mods and finally kept DSL; I find that whatever mod I use, because I am such a high level (215), I never get more XP's per kill, just a more difficult target. I wish they was a way to increase the XP consistent with the enemy's level. I'll disable DSL and try this one.
Thank you for the kind words and feedback, Bluedog37.
The DSL/MSL mods (the system level increasers) help with xp insofar that they (help to) spawn the highest vanilla levels of enemies in all systems. In your case mostly between about lvl 100 and lvl 120. These should give you more XP than enemies upscaled from vanilla lvl 10 to lvl 100 by MEL. But still, a lvl 200 enemy will not reward you more xp than the vl 120 base it's upscaled from by MEL.
To have XP increase beyond about lvl 120 of enemies additional modding is needed. I will look into this, now that I warm up with Papyrus scripting :-).
You could have a look at my NGXP Plus mods in the meantime maybe - they will gve you more and more XP on each NG+. This indirectly gives you better XP rewards for high level enemies, too.
So I removed DSL and installed DSLC and ALL my planets are level 55, even the ones which were level 75, weird. Also as I boarded a ship, the ladders didn't activate when pressing "E". So I will disable DSLC and see if that goes away. Thanks for your research. Also, all crew on the ship were level 44, also weird, since I got the maximum 128 XP for each kill. Later... So I tried w/o the DLSC mod and the enemies are still level 44 and the ladders still don't work, but the planet now is level 75 (Hawking). So there is something else going on, I'll go to a much earlier save. Still Later.... I loaded an older save and boarded a ship, the ladders worked, but since it isn't because of your mod, it's somewhat irrelevant... Still, the planet level issue is weird, I'm sure that you're taking a look.
At first, I thought the planets were 55, too, but they are indeed 255. Look REALLY closely in front of the 55, and you can see a little bit of the 2. Basically, it seems as if having 3 digits doesn’t “fit,” and we can only see a little bit of the 2 that’s in front of the 55.
The description for the mod even says “up to 255,” so trust me, these are 255 and not 55. Look reaaaaaaaally closely and you will see a little bit of the 2 there in front of the 55.
It's correct, the planets are 255 (partially hidden 2). My enemies were level 94 and the reaped XPs was 256. All cool. Last time I hadn't landed on a planet, I had boarded an orbiting enemy vessel. I had assumed that orbiting vessel would also have their levels increased... Thanks

Now all we need is minimum enemy ship levels--haha I know I keep pestering you about this ;)
BTW, this DOES work installing normally with MO2.

Especially the all planets level 55 part worries me, maybe a typo somewhere in the script...
