Getting a weird crash error with this mod and PAGSM: "ERROR com.fs.starfarer.combat.CombatMain - java.lang.RuntimeException: Error loading [sounds/music//Hyper - hive_minigame.ogg] resource, not found in [D:\Starsector\starsector-core\..\mods\PAGSM"
Download latest core 1.0.3.3, graphics, fx and audio files.
Extract core. It should create a Steelclads folder (if it doesn't, create one). Extract everything in that folder.
You should end up with a Sleeclads folder and inside you should have graphics, sounds, data folder (and the mod_info.json file and perhaps a jar folder). That's it.
this mod seems to be missing the mod_info.json settings.json and version file from the core files zip folder, also mod seems to cause an error with other factions that makes them spit out am error regarding the jump point api
What exactly is your problem? Make sure you are using the latest version (just updated)

I manage to get it. By actually reading your installing instructions and not just installing like a normal mod I saw that you said "Install here and here and check for double folders." Guess what? I wasn't installing here and here and there were double folders.
Yeah the full file size is small idk why the mod maker wants us to put his file together when he could just put it all in one file for the specific version. Its like he went out of his way to make the mod more time consuming to install not harder but annoying.
For easier updating. Changing graphics requires only changes to the graphics file, instead of the whole thing. Also, total less download size on updates. In other words, you might only have to donwnload 20MB or 1 MB instead of 200 MB.
You still can keep them seperate but make the copy process from the main mod folder or the game mod folder itself. Instead of "drop folder y from ZIP in folder y that is a subfolder of x" you can just drop everything in the main folder and have the paths already in the ZIPs. insatllation would then be: download all files -> create mod folder in mods -> unpack all fils into said folder -> done.
This mod actually indeed works with it. The trick I found is to do the following.
Delete all files in the cache folder located in your save folder. Load these mods if you have them first by themselves. Yunru, Vayra, Valhalla starworks, JYD, Hiver, Carter. Then exit the game and load steel clad. After this is done you can load any other mod list successfully. Installing mods can cause a repeat of crash on loading the game so repeat the process.
can you make a few mods that only has the weapons, another that the ships and modules and one that has the portriates please for those who dont want to download the full mod.

Instead of "drop folder y from ZIP in folder y that is a subfolder of x" you can just drop everything in the main folder and have the paths already in the ZIPs.
