It means that you can now download the projects files and edit them with frosty and see how I've made the mod and try-harded on it for months.
"But what should I do with it?"
Anything you want. You can tweak it, overwrite my settings, have a totally different approach specialized in a specific way of playing... you can do whatever you want with my mod.
And if you want to share it, then you can send it to me so I can upload it there and credit you, but you can also open a new mod page while respecting the nexus permissions system rules and it would be fine too.
Check out the new permissions in the "Permissions and Credit" tab on the description page. I'm mostly putting any last bit of my modder ego aside, I want the best experience for everyone, and everyone has a different way of playing.

A friendly Warning: While editing the files you will notice some settings that you might misjudge or misunderstand, don't be fooled, because it won't be the same once you'll be in game, and everyone have a different configuration; the latest version I released was the result of months of testing, tweaking, balancing and fixing, it will be difficult to edit.
I hope you guys will make great stuff and have an even better experience than I offered, I'll still work on this mod from time to time. I'm still active on the nexus so I will still be around sometimes to answer some questions, but I won't do any kind of tutorial, I never needed one.

tttt1010 - thank you for combining our work together.
Hey, can you please post the project file for the Focal Length scaling version? It is incompatible with Kyber V2 because it was built with an old version of Frosty
Hey, sorry I'm no longer playing this game for quite some time, also, I don't have the source file, I tried to reach tttt1010 about it a while ago and he never responded, feel free to modify my last old source, I don't remember much about all of it
nonox97 is there a way to set custom in game sensitivity for soldier aim (and snipers) without smoothing, acceleration, for specific screen resolution/aspect? i want this because i'd like to increase real mouse dpi to 1600+ so mouse readouts doesnt exhibit frameskipping(aka grid snap feel). currently this can be somewhat mitigated with rawaccel app with custom accel curve but this is not pixel precise - so, hard to control.
also could you remove sprint fov - fov becames higher when sprinting?
bro I'm sorry but I don't play as much SWBF2 as I used to and don't much time to do it right now, this is why I made the project open source at the time so everyone can look into it and make their own version.
Now it's been since like June 2021 that I used Frosty and I don't know if we can remove all of theses stuff you talked about without breaking anything, maybe it's possible and maybe it could even be multiplayer safe but I have no clue!
I said in the past that I would continue working on it but I don't have the time to test it for weeks and I'm not even a pro player seeking for perfect input you know? I just wanted to make it less annoying for myself and decided to share it.
If I ever come back, I'll do it, otherwise feel free to modify my mod.
I have been enjoying the use of friedi_fix's Uniform Soldier Aiming mod while playing Starfighters as it allows me to easily aim and fire at opponents while maneuvering the Starfighter in the desired direction. Even with the default, unmodified sensitivity and acceleration settings in the base game, I can demonstrate much better performance than the Better Camera mod. I can confidently say that the Better Camera mod enhances the realism of Starfighter controls while also increasing the challenge. Could you consider creating a mod that includes an active Aim Assist feature for Starfighters?
I will look into that, I remember that the experimental version was trash indeed for space battles, I had to put my sensitivity to 1%. I do not know what kind of settings they used for the other mod but I will figure it out and make something good.
"All vehicles and starfighters have their own hardcoded inertia/smoothing/heaviness/behaviors that is not possible to modify without any risks, there's a lot of things I didn't fixed for the mod to stay multiplayer safe."
could you make a non-mp safe version of this mod for offline ?
is it mandatory to change GstInput.SoldierZoomSensitivityAll to 1? if that sensitivity is too low how do you increase it without editing the settings, should i change it with dpi?
Hi, I'm currently going to play the game again and make some new updates so some stuff may be outdated, nothing is mandatory do what you want, it's just the scale that is set to 0% - 100% instead of previously 0% - 200%.
The Focal Length Scaling version is based on the latest normal source code version, so it includes everything from it. The other one is based on the experimental version.
In the base game the zoom has its own sensitivy scale, by default it's on 2.0 for some reasons, which means 0 to 200%.
Now, if you set that scale to 1.0 it makes it so slow that you have to keep it to 100% all the time no matter what DPI you're using; but if you set it on 4.0, then it scale better in concordance with the normal sensitivity which was, by default, 1.5 (150% max) and is now 1.0, which somehow makes it flatter. Then it must be taken in account with vehicles, turrets and some weapons (like the heavy's minigun etc) for it to fit well.
I got lost in my own explanation, so here's a cookie.

Thanks for the cookie! However, I think I didn't make clear what I was asking, my mistake. What I meant is not in relation to sensitivity, but rather zoom. When you zoom in at say, 2x zoom, what exactly does that mean? I refer specifically to the magnification, and what it means, not sensitivity. Thanks!

Hello!
I decided to give my mod to the community.

that way it would be usable on kyber private servers
Edit: I had some issues with the Frosty Editor and the source file, might need to wait longer, sorry.

Thank you for such a wonderful Mod. <3
The other one is based on the experimental version.
You only need one of the two.

When I made the mod I decided that I won't change the zoom, as I want to keep it MP safe and also it breaks some camera transition.
I only made the sensitivity more linear so zooming is actually useful. That's it.
