There`s definitely something wrong with the "Hooded Mesh" file. It always gives an error when attempting to extract, and this file:
pakchunk99-ProdigalSonHood_99_P.pak
which is the tweaked head that doesn't clip with hoods, has 0Kb. You can see that the file has issues even when you try to download it here from the Nexus - if you click "preview file contents" under the download button you'll get an error.
It's a shame, this mod is really good otherwise and the unhooded head works perfectly. ___________________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: Ok, I got it working. Gonna make a (hopefully) detailed tutorial to help those who might be having issues with this mod. Note that I'm installing manually (not through Vortex) simply by placing the mods inside the Swgame/Content/Paks folder - I'm not using that paks/~mods file structure that some people use.
So, when you head over to the downloads tab you'll see two versions of the mod. The first one contains the following files: pakchunk99-LukeSaber_99_P.pak pakchunk99-ProdigalSon_99_P.pak
And the second one contains the following: pakchunk99-LukeSaber_99_P.pak pakchunk99-ProdigalSonHood_99_P.pak
- Regarding the Lightsaber files: they are EXACTLY THE SAME. You can use either. Then follow the instructions on the description to get Luke's saber.
- Regarding the head files: the one in the first version is working perfectly, and you'll wanna use it if you're not gonna use any hooded outfits. If you are though, this version will have Luke's hair clipping through the hood. If you're gonna use a hooded robe (such as the excellent one in this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/starwarsjedifallenorder/mods/248 which is what I believe most people are gonna use) you need the second version HOWEVER it seems like there's a problem with the file - extracting the compressed file always gives an error, you'll notice that the "pakchunk99-ProdigalSonHood_99_P.pak" has 0 KB. So what you're gonna do is you're not gonna extract it: once you've downloaded the second version just double-click the compressed file - you'll see the "pakchunk99-ProdigalSonHood_99_P.pak" with the appropriate size (around 80 MB). Just copy this file and paste it inside your SwGames/Content/Paks folder and that's it, Luke's hair will clip no more.
For anyone trying to put the hooded head mesh and it not working, just manually download the file, extract or 7zip the headmesh folder, put that folder in the paks/mods folder, then go back to the compressed non-extracted headmesh folder you orginally downloaded and copy the 2 pak files inside it and paste it back into the 7zipped extracted headmesh folder you already put in the paks/mods folder then paste and replace both of the pak files and tada, that worked for me after trying to fix it for a near hour.
great stuff imo, from my POV extremely clean and well done. looks great, no issues.
I'm not even a huge luke fan just needed something that looked good and matched the original voice, and this was it. I personally ended up using the all-black version of the default outfit + slightly muscular mod. the body shape on the rotj robes felt a little weird.
I can't seem to figure out how to apply the Hooded Head Mesh. Because it is 0 KB, it creates an error and doesn't allow the game to launch. I saw one comment here mention a solution but it didn't work for me unless I did it wrong somehow.
Just a heads up for anyone who might also experience this issue. I use Vortex in order install the mods because you can easily enable/disable them. However, with the hooded mesh it didn't work initially. It creates the folder for the mod and everything, but the hooded mesh PAK file when applied directly takes up 0 KB, essentially meaning that the file empty. However, you can unpack the file ZIP and replace the file the folder created for the mod with the unpacked file, and it should work perfectly
