well it is half true in this case actually they literally changed her hair for 2 reasons that even the devs admitted and one is because she needed to look more independent and empowering and the other one is because she is canonically a lesbian so yeah they really went for the cliché lesbian haircut boss girl lol

You mentioned on a reply concerning physics that it had some slight animation/physics, yet I'm sure I've not witnessed any. Both during cutscenes or gameplay her hair is frozen solid. Can confirm because if you pay attention to her in Fallen Order, the old hair model does move quite a bit. Something you could look into?
Also, perhaps a bit less of an issue but whenever she disappears or is about to appear somewhere due to teleport, you can see the her hair is the only part still visible when it shouldn't be. 100% caused by the replacer, like I said not a big deal just mentioning it here in case it's fixable.-
i have not had any of these issues, and the hair does move whenever there is wind or something happening

Can confirm as of 10/01/2023 there is no movement in the hair. Whether in cutscene or open world, the hair is static. I only have this mod and a color replace for the default Survivor vest. Not sure if something in a patch broke the physics animation but it's not working.

Not sure if it's from RT, but hair is sometimes transparent and weirdly pulsing in cutscenes. Excellent mod, thanks for your work!
