Hey the mod loader appears to have broken photo mode for me as of the last update. Entering photo mode results in all the colors being inverted and everything rendering extremely bright. Taking the version and version.dll files out returns photo mode to normal.
Hey I was wondering if you were looking to update this mod for the new DLC? It seems to be incompatible with it. Or at the very least it wont let me load any saves using the DLC with this enabled. Love your work!
Thank you for letting me know! Can confirm there are issues with certain mods (it appears to be the character replacement mods) but the modloader itself is fine, as is the Skip Intro Videos mod. Will isolate the problematic files and update my mods accordingly. In the mean time, you can either delete any character mods you may have installed, or disable/uninstall the modloader until I get them all updated.
I can certainly do so, but it isn't my mod so I will message you privately with a fixed version.
As an update, most of my mods are already fixed; it now requires downloading Hide Kay's Accessories and Hide Kay's Clothes. I apologise that it is a little less convenient now than it was before, but doing it this way helps with fixing potential future breakages much quicker. These two mods will be used for all of my character mods going forward, which means you'll only have to download and install once for all of my mods. Other mod authors can use these as well, but I can't guarantee they will.
New with moding here on Star Wars Outlaw. So maybe is odd question. What the difference is with the files since I found two of them inb zip file ? And how they work/affect the functioning the game ?
It shouldn't affect Steam achievements, as far as I know. It doesn't for Ubisoft Connect at least, and as far as I've seen, there isn't anything checking to see if the game is modded. Having said that, I don't own the Steam version specifically, so I have no way to confirm myself.
Hi all, does it still works? I'm using ubisoft's launcher, extracted the dll at the root of game dir, tried a mod copying everything in helix folder but it doesn't seem to work. Am I missing something please?
Ok, might have figured this out... right click on version.dll file after downloading it in Windows in the proper game directory. Under properties, look for a possible message at the bottom stating that this file is from another computer and has been blocked to protect this PC. Next to message is a checkable space, click on it and message will go away trusting the file. Hope it helps :) BTW @patrickmollohan your mods are awesome and I'm very grateful for your hard work breathing more life into this awesome game.
Hey, thanks for trying to help. I don't have any message of windows saying that the file is blocked. I can copy it anywhere, delete it, do whatever I want as any other of my own files. So this is working for you with the last update of ubisoft?
I have yet to get it to work, in fact, I cannot get any mod using the modloader to work... I have tried damn near everything I can think of... it's starting to feel like the game is out of version to the modloader
You aren't missing anything, unless the instructions given aren't accurate (we can assume they are lol since they've previously worked), USWOML doesn't appear to be able to do anything at present
To further assist/clarify this, I downloaded 10 different mods that exclusively use this modloader, none of them work atm either, but anything that doesn't require it loads fine
@fury974, @ejkdurile are there any error messages popping up? What mods have you tried? As a quick test, create a folder in the root directory of the game called "scripts", and download and extract this in it. If everything is installed correctly, it will pop up a message box saying that ASI loading is working correctly (it might pop it up twice, actually). Delete once tested, as that will appear every time you launch the game otherwise.
@kdameron thanks so much for your kind words! I love this game and it is an absolute pleasure seeing what's possible!
Hey @patrickmollohan, I've encountered what seems to be the same issue, following yours and the other mod author's installation instructions. I also made an attempt to run the script you mentioned in the last comment here and had nothing pop up. Would you assist me at all?
Well, it seems that restarting my computer is what worked. I got on this morning and both the script worked, as well as the mods once I removed the file! I don't understand haha
Hello. Just downloaded. I can’t seem to get any Character changing files working. Not sure what the issue is. I can get other mods to work fine like FOV

Pro tip: It probably can't.

If I use this mod loader without Vortex, would i be able to launch the game through it instead of Steam?
