is there a way of making the mod carry onto the next difficulty tier? like if i beat standard and get the boon why would i play standard again when i could move onto dread. the boon concept is kind of stupid, but you're overhaul is beautiful and would like to see it be like a stepping stone onto the next tier if it possible.
could be possible, but i can't really say for sure, you can try asking in SoD2 modding discord channel you could also just unlock the boons on all difficulties with the community editor program but i get, that your progression suggestion method sounds more fun to play
Nice rebuild of legacy boons! I love it hehehe. It is possible to add the new effects to the description of boons in game? (i mean in the selection screen).
Sorry for the late reply. You have to use the mod manager by KaiHelios. You can find it here on the nexus. Just add the mod with that after downloading it and tick to activate it, click "create integration pak" in the top right corner.
Hope this gets updated. On a side note the builder boon is still super broken due to build speed and labor boon. I mean SOD2 already babied both factors to irrelevance in comparison to 1 and this just makes it really OP to take again
I think the mod needs an update. I'm having the same issue.
Edit: I retract my previous statement. Mod works just fine. I forgot that I was trying out another mod for a harder difficulty that enabled all legacy boons at once and it seems to overwrite the changes made by this mod. And experimenting with Cheat Building X found that it entirely ignores the bonuses from this mod and does nothing if it is installed. So apparently it’s all four vanilla or two of these new and improved boons. Choices, choices…
This mod exists because of the Builder Boon. As the mod states it is basically a cheat mod (cannot argue with that, free power and water for everything is broken af).
Worth noting that, should a player want, they could leverage two free outposts for the Trader into doing the same thing by getting a water and a power outpost that they couldn't afford before. Not saying that's a bad thing though, because now it has an opportunity cost and gives the built-in utilities a purpose again.
Is there a mod to have all 4 boons active at once? I've wondered it since i saw the screenshot fort the mod manager and one of the mods in the list is 'allactiveboon'. But i have yet to find such a mod.
Very nice mod, Sheriff and Trader boons work as intended, I have yet to try Builder and Warlord. It's good that the Builder boon doesn't trivialize the game anymore.
Damn, these boons look MUCH better than vanilla. Make sense and seem much more balanced. Too bad I'd have to start a new community :/ If and when I do I'll have this mod for sure though. Currently I have no boons on vanilla because they are either to strong or to weak. Good idea.
It may work, but at least for me, it was sometimes buggy when testing on existing communities, especially when modifying boons with the community editor.
