Great work! Is it possible to make it work on Xbox? I have the game on PC, tested it and it works perfectly, but unfortunately the game itself doesn't run well on my PC, I just use it to mod with the Community Editor.
Absolutely no mods transfer to Xbox. Some mod effects can be recorded in the save and transferred to Xbox, but not the mod itself. So unfortunately no.
Hi Zod, I love the mod and know all zombies spawning outside the safe zone is the intended purpose. Would it be possible to have another option of this very same mod, but with a safe zone that's only slightly bigger than default, like about x1? It can feel a bit too safe sometimes, I don't mind getting jumped or having to look over my shoulder every now and then. I'm sure the shoddy balancing in this game probably has a lot more to do with that tho.
Navigate to the correct location, right click, then hover over the new button, and click on the new folder option. It will create a folder and ask you to name it. Name it Paks
Or you can use Heilos's mod manager for sod2 and it will create the folder and install most mods for you.
Hey could you make a mod that adds the outpost trap system from sod1 to the game, in the original game it would be triggered by hoards and wipe them out if they passed the outpost with it.
Firstly, thank you this mod does exactly as it says so there aren't any problems at all in that regard; it's working perfectly (I'm using the Larger version). Secondly, this is my first time on Nightmare and I'm on day 5 so maybe I'm just a bit overwhelmed. Lastly, this could just be a case of me not really understanding how the game works at all lmao.
A weird byproduct I'm having when clearing out towns is this actually makes things a bit tougher so far. For example in the image below, zombie spawns start clumping up and forming hordes right outside of town and then start converging into it. Essentially, every safe zone you generate just means more spawns where you're going to next. And sometimes, they even create these small pockets between zones which also sometimes spawn a lot as well.
Worst case scenario, when I went to the church I highlighted, there were at least 4-5 hordes there, 2-3 of them being freak hordes (Screamer, Feral this time). When I killed one horde, I could've sworn a new one just spawned in right in front of me.
So there, just wrote this up to let you know of my experience. I'd happily take a 'you're on nightmare, git gud' if it really is just me being a scrub and a pansy. But is this just a how the engine works when you expand the safe zones?
First off, I wanted to say thanks for the feedback, and second what you are experiencing is a byproduct of the spawn system and the difficulty.
What that means is that this mod doesn't reduce the spawns, it just makes the safe zone Bigger. That means that zombies are still spawning in but have less area to spawn into. So they clump together and form hordes.
And if you have a small gap between some Safe Zones zeds are more likely to spawn there. This mod was originally part of my Snowflake mod, and that came with a bunch of ai edits (basic training mod) and made cleared sites stay clear for a very long time. (Stay safe mod) so it balanced the effects and the ability of your community to kill zeds, because of the increased hordes.
I sort of gathered that when you mentioned in the 'Stay Safe' comments that these were just separate modules from a larger mod. I might just have to check out Snowflake then, to see what your vision really was for it. Thanks for the mods, dude!
