About this mod
A mod that adds two new characters and three variants of each character. Each variant has a special unique item. Now includes a new perk selection screen.

One thing that bothered me about Stoneshard after many hours of playing it was how you had to jump through hoops to get some builds working. For example, with a dual wielding dagger build, there are no characters that start with both skill trees, and there are no trainers that teach dual wielding or daggers in Osbrook. This mod attempts to change this by allowing more character starts with diverse combinations of unlocked skill trees, while also adding flavor to the different variants through their different starting gear. This mod also adds replayability since there are so many more starts than in the base game.
I suggest backing up your saves just in case (haven't done much testing on the mod).
As for all mods, please report any bugs to me instead of the game devs.
1.3 Update (New Traits)
This update adds a new screen after character selection that allows the player to select "Divine Punishments" and "Divine Rewards". These are 20 new traits that substantially alter gameplay and allow for fleshing out your character or challenging yourself for more replayability.
Divine Punishments
Melee Vow (+1)
Ranged weapons can not be equipped.
Ranged Vow (+1)
Melee weapons can not be equipped.
Carelessness (+1)
Backfire Damage does not fall below 40%. Casting results in taking 50% of current Backfire Damage.
Drug Intolerance (+1)
Taking drugs or drinking alcohol triggers Bad Trip instead of the standard effect.
Fragility (+2)
Grants -30% Max Health.
Insanity (+2)
Sanity does not rise above 50%. Bad Trip can trigger spontaneously for 10 turns.
Unending Hunger (+2)
Hunger does not fall below 30%.
Unending Thirst (+2)
Thirst does not fall below 30%.
Unending Fatigue (+2)
Fatigue does not fall below 30%.
Unending Pain (+2)
Pain does not fall below 30%.
Divine Rewards
Bloodlust (-2)
Receiving or causing bleeding grants +10% Life Drain for 3 turns. This effect stacks.
Uncontrollable Anger (-2)
Receiving damage or killing enemies has a chance of triggering Frenzy.
Trap Sense (-2)
All hidden traps and secret passages are automatically revealed.
Intelligence (-2)
Grants +20% Experience Gain.
Talent (-2)
Grants +1 Attribute Point.
Creativity (-3)
Grants +20% Miracle Chance and +40% Miracle Potency.
Indomitability (-3)
Second Wind is guaranteed to trigger on receiving a killing blow.
Death Vampirism (-3)
Grants +20% Bleed Resistance. Killing enemies triggers Rapid Restoration for 5 turns.
Eternal Health (-3)
Grants +30% Intoxication Resistance. Immunity does not fall below 30%.
Mastery (-3)
Grants +1 Skill Point.
Installation
- Get Delta Patcher.
- Download the zip file of your choosing from the files tab.
- Unzip it, you should now have the xdelta file.
- Optional: copy/paste the current data.win elsewhere to save it to quickly rollback to unmodded version of the game if needed
- Open Delta Patcher.
- Click on the folder button next to the "Original File" field and select your data.win file (should be wherever your game is installed).
- Click on the folder button next to the "Xdelta Patch" field and select the xdelta file you downloaded earlier.
- Click on Apply Patch and wait until it's done.
- Start your game, the mod should now be installed.
