Im not sure if this only happen to me because of conflict with other mods or a bug. When you open caravan storage and open bag that you equip or in inventory then switch the caravan storage(1-4), the items in the caravan storage will disappeared. Please save before testing it, and load your save game if it happen.

This has been raised before, there is a previous thread about it and a HUGE warning notice in the mod discription. The option to open a backpack in inventory when another inventory is open is also an opt-in feature, with a warning label.
Unfortunately despite trying everything I can think, the bug does not happen to me. I therefore can't even attempt to log/inspect/fix it.

This bug manifests ONLY when the base game setting of Close Inventory after closing loot window is turned on .... so to FIX this, you need to turn that setting OFF. This is not something I can force the mod into doing for you.

So loaded old save data and tried to do same thing several times and its all gone. (opening 1st page>switch to 2nd and 2nd page gone) 100% reproducible I can say.
Thanks! This is pretty alarming! I .. um... don't have any other stash pages in my own save, so it will be some time before I can test this. I might just re-apply the restriction of opening bags when another inventory is open.

I've uploaded the version I am using (3.3) because it also had a minor fix for the drag&drop overfill bug that maybe fixes this too? please let me know if the issue persists for you

Tried new version 3.3 and its still happening. open both caravan and backpack, then switch pages, wipe. But thx for trying to fix/update. This bug can be avoided by just not open both when switching pages. so its practically okay. <3 your mod series!
I've tried replicating this with no success. I use F8 to open the caravan stash, right-click-open a bag in my inventory. Put stuff in all 4 caravan pages and freely switch between all tabs with no item wiping. The only thing that happens to me is the backpack closes with each switch, which can be a bit annoying - but I have no way to fix that.
I did however discover an issue with having the crafting menu open and then using F8 has a weird overlay which will be fixed next update.
I wonder if you are using any other mods that might affect the behaviour or if things are different somehow interacting directly with the caravan stash (instead of F8 cheat)?

RustyDios, I confirm that I have the same problem, but I did not find it, because I never plunged the sequence of actions described by tana! Mod installed by me: Holy_Diagonal, Rusty_Backpack, Speed_Manager, Rusty_Tailor_Fence_Break. And all this is installed on top of 0.9.1.18 Stoneshard Personal mod staff. Everything works fine, without complaints (of course, except for the above problem, which can easily be avoided). A little later I will check if this problem appears when the listed mods are installed, but without 0.9.1.18 Stoneshard Personal mod
I'm not run running the Speed Manager (but I doubt this would have issues) .. I'm not running the Personnal mod either. This is likely to be the culprit, changing something in the vanilla.win that my mod's MSL code is trying to find (and failing to then update/correct/change).
It would be interesting to know if @tana is using that mod too ...

I checked by installing the same mod on a clean (without mod) data.win file. Win and even a new version of Rusty backpack 3.4. The situation is the same. It doesn’t matter which backpack is open in the inventory - I took a small backpack, which is on the tailor. If you open the backpack in the inventory and then open the caravan to the F8, any switch between caravan stash causes the closure of the windows and the loss of all objects from the part of the caravan stash to which there was a switch. I will still use a mod for a Rusty backpack, because it is too good)) In addition, now you can put a backpack in the inventory along with things inside the backpack. The situation with the backpack is not critical ! But thanks to tana for finding her! We will use the mod on the backpack with caution! ;)

Here's a video of me playing around with the backpacks and caravan inventory.. bags are open and nothing is getting removed from the caravan on switching tabs. Just the bag inventory being auto-closed.

There are no grounds for excitement, 100%. I just made an option when only a Rusty backpack is installed - everything works fine! If you open a backpack in the inventory and then press F8 - then the backpack immediately closes. The problem with the disappearance of things from the caravan stash is not to blame for this mod! However, if two players have a problem, others will have it. If time will allow, I will try other combinations from my mod, perhaps this will indicate a source of problems, but I promise nothing))

Summary: It was not for nothing that the developers made it so that the backpack cannot be discovered when it is inside the inventory
Looks like it might be a resolution issue. I don't think you're running the game at the same resolution I do. And I'm not sure where your 10x6 inventory windows come from. I'm running the game at 1920x1080 fullscreen borderless. I don't think you are running the same, and this is causing the Backpack inventory window to slide under the Caravan window - causing a conflict of space. ~~there isn't much I can do to fix that issue. Sorry
I also have this bug, with only this mod installed. I'd suggest adding a warning to the instructions in your description page, if this unexpectedly had happened to me after coming back from clearing out a dungeon I would have been a bit miffed.

Verified gamefile integrity on steam
Renamed data.win to vanilla.win
Ran Modshardlauncher.exe, selected vanilla.win with the folder button, enabled backpack mod, saved as data.win
Ran game via Steam
Opened old save that had an extra caravan page unlocked with items inside, and an equipped backpack with items in it.
Walked over to the caravan and checked that partially full backpack could be put in the inventory and opened. Yup.
Opened caravan stash, with backpack closed in the inventory.
Clicked on the second page of the stash, and back to the first. No problem.
Opened the backpack.
Clicked on the second page of the stash: the page opening sound played as the inventory, stash, and backpack windows all closed
The first page was fine, but the second page was empty. Goodbye lentils, beer, stolen grain and other misc loot.
My only other two mods that I use are Holy Diagonals and Auto Pathfinding. This issue occurs even when they haven't been installed via ModShardLauncher, on a fresh install for this backpack mod following the steps above. My resolution is set to 2560x1440, fullscreen exclusive. The issue persists after temporarily switching to 1920x1080 in the menu.
Considering there's no quicksave functionality and I don't always immediately sleep when I come back to the caravan so I can have access to later saves in case I forgot/messed something up, it's only a matter of time before I wipe out a page of my stash and have to go back an hour or two, missing out on whatever randomly generated loot I might have found.
Hopefully this can be fixed. Would sending you the data.win and save somehow be useful? I can take a screen recording too if it would help.
I fully understand the frustration this would cause and the devastating loss of stuff that could happen. The only thing I can do is add a menu option to toggle if bag usage is possible if the stash is open
version 3.7 is now uploaded. opening backpacks whilst another left-side inventory window is open is now an opt-in feature, instead of on by default.
I tested the mod on its own with every resolution I could through the in-game menu. I could 100% produce overlap issues on everything below 1920 resolution, but not on anything above. If every case I could not reproduce inventory loss, just the bag auto-close and lack of interaction on the overlapping areas. I've added a note/warning to the mods description.
Will continue to monitor the issue, but there isn't anything else/more I can do.

I think the warnings will be quite enough. If I had not read about this feature of handling a backpack and page of the stash caravan, I think I would never have reproduced this moment of loss of objects in the caravan laying. And I noticed that the wallet automatically closes, when opening the caravan page. And it cannot be opened with a caravan stash open.
You've done an absolute ton of work on all of these different mods which is awesome! It's always fun when you're troubleshooting and you do the exact same thing as someone else and it works for you but not them. It's unfortunate that this bug couldn't be beat in the end.
I will say, the resolution of the game screen seems like a red herring. It has no bearing on the issue for me. Setting it to the maximum, minimum, or exactly 1920x1080 doesn't affect this bug. My inventories have no overlap at 1920x1080 or my preferred 2560x1440 and I continue to have the same stash deletion issue. I have a 1920x1080 monitor and just use 2560p for the "zoom" even though it makes things grainy, but it still shouldn't be relevant.
I went ahead and spent a couple of hours running through the start of the game just to check the stash on a new save file because hey why not, and it still didn't work. Whenever I have a full or empty backpack open and switch a caravan stash page, the two inventory screens still close and the contents of the stash page (not the backpack) are deleted. So the warning is a little misleading in understating the prevalence of the issue, but hopefully it cautions any users enough that they would test it first anyways.
Also @nodude the suggestion that players wouldn't ever naturally come across a situation where they have their backpack open and try to switch caravan stash pages is a strange one. I know I personally vaguely organize things via pages in the stash, so would definitely have broken something by trying to switch between them in order to place stuff from my backpack (antlers on this page, leeches on that page), and since I usually do that after an excursion but before saving, it would be fairly disastrous!
Maybe I'll just have to learn to make a mod of my own and have it disable or put a little "blocking" box over the caravan stash tabs when the backpack is open so I don't mess up lol

Might i request an even bigger backpack as optional file? I tried to make my own, based on Simple StoneShard Modding Guide, but cant add new texture, UMT throws error.
As big as you are would be willing to. Push it to the limit. I am not just a hoarder by nature in games, i love to no just carry everything i could possibly need, with 3 backups, but i like to also nicely organize it. So concept of "too much", when it comes to inventory size, does not exist to me. In that tutorial big backpack was 15x7 and it looked extremely tasty to me. He even shared his image for it.
Very cool mod. However when I open the backpack it has fake slots. So it looks like a big backpack like in the images but its actually smaller. I downloaded the correct version, done the mod install correctly aswell and all other mods (quicksave, autopathfinder and rusty inventory expansion) are all working correctly. Any ideas?
Note: It is not a new game but its a game that was started in modbranch before.

Thanks for the great mods! Would it be possible to have an option to revert back to the old traveler's backpack? I'll use this mod for the quality of life of not having to drop a bag on the ground or make room in my inventory every time I want to move items between my stash and my backpack. But I don't need the reassignment of space in the Traveler's Backpack. Maybe adding it as a new item called the "Adventurer's Backpack" or something?
I might change my tune after I play the game a bit more, so an upgrade option would be good instead of editing the Traveler's Backpack, if possible. Playing inventory Tetris is half the fun!
I have re-uploaded the version I was using this morning, it's all working. I'm not sure what I changed between then and now, likely some small number.
