I know I'm late but use Cartographer and just add in a few Pipi plants and that should solve your poison issue. Worked for me. It's a nice island but the lack of Pipi plants makes it a death trap if you have a new survivor and just came from the starter island as I did. No Pipi plants there, either. And since it's not yet Xmas (again), you can do the same and get your Xmas present. It's just a little late lol
Hey guys! Sorry, I'm not on Nexus very often. I saw your comments and fixed this issue. The version 37.0 is live with more snake and no pipi plants. I'm kidding! I added pipi plants and some new entities on the map.
My only complaint is that I decided to head from the starter island to Tora Tora (placed it in my map so it would be one of the first I visit) and I immediately got bitten by a snake and there's not a Pipi plant to be found. RIP my 3-day old survivor.
Edit: I used Cartographer to add in 2 Pipi plants right by the palm trees next to the beached ship in image 4 of the gallery. That should fix the issue.
I downloaded Stranded deep from epic games, and want to put in some custom mod maps, I cant seem to find those folders, there is only one folder for maps which is the "default maps" I tried putting it there but doesn't seem to work, I even made a custom map myself and tried searching in the game's files so that I can see where it saves but I cant even find it anywhere.
Mine looks like this:
Stranded deep_data - Data - Default maps
Thats the only place where the word MAPS even show
I made a toturial for PC, Mac and Epic user on Steam if you want: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/SKIROW/discussions/1/2997674644675727919
The path that Ashertony gave is correct but by default "AppData" folder is hidden. Go to the "View" tab at the top and check the "Hidden items" checkbox.
This is the 4th SKIR0W map I've visited today, and each one is terrific. Tora-Tora is calm, quiet and relaxing. Endorsed and will be visiting again many times.

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\LocalLow\Beam Team Games\Stranded Deep\Data\Maps
You'll want to put the unzipped folder into that location (the one that starts with "MAP ...)
